The Audi A3 3 Door is Audi’s smallest and least expensive car which competes in the motor industries largest sector - the small to medium hatchback market. It shares the same Volkswagen group A platform as the VW Golf, Seat Leon, Skoda Octavia and Audi TT. The Sporty looking 3 Door version gets a comprehensive engine line up which is shared throughout the Volkswagen family and includes new 1.4 and 1.8 litre turbo charged petrol engines. A reengineered 2.0 litre common rail diesel engines continues to prove popular combining excellent performance and fuel ecomomy. A more fuel efficient and ecological 1.9 Tdi e diesel engine also arrives in the upgraded model. A tiptronic or S tronic automatic gearbox is also available on select models.
Trim levels continue with Standard, SE, Sport and S Line grades with even standard models now including alloy wheels, air conditioning and cd player. The flagship model is a high performance S3 version with Quattro all wheel drive and a revised 2.0 litre Turbo Fsi engine producing 265bhp.
