With the launch of the new Audi A4 Saloon in 2008, Audi simultaneously launched an estate version – the A4 Avant. One of the biggest disadvantages of the previous generation Avant was it’s size and poor load space, an essential requirement for any buyer of the estate car. Audi have to a degree rectified this by making the new Avant significantly larger though by no means the biggest in it’s class but close enough to it’s main rivals the Mercedes C Class Estate and BMW 3 Series Touring.

The new car feels sportier to drive than it’s predecessor. Vehicle engine choice is carried over from the saloon as well as the equipment trim grades - Standard, SE and S Line specification.
