The Audi Q7 was launched in 2006 and is Audi’s answer to the growing popularity of large four wheel drive vehicles such as the BMW X5, Mercedes M Class, Volvo XC90 and Landrover Discovery. For the UK market the new Audi Q7 arrived with the choice of two petrol units – 3.0 V6 or 4.2 V8 and the excellent 3.0 Tdi diesel unit used throughout the Audi car range. With permanent Quattro all wheel drive and a Tiptronic auto gearbox the Q7 remains relatively sprightly despite it’s high kerb weight. The choice trim grade include Standard, SE or S Line specification. As expected from an Audi the cabin is comfortable and stylish with the Sat Nav, Hi-fi Audio and Heating all controlled through Audi’s MMI system (multimedia Interface).
