Built on the same platform as the Lamborghini Gallardo the R8 uses a mid engined 4.2 litre V8 producing 420bhp. Customers can choose from straight manual or R tronic transmission (a semi automatic gearbox). Visually the Audi R8 is stunning to look at and offers the performance to rival most supercars. A V10 set to arrive in 2009 along with a rumoured 500bhp diesel model.
