BMW gave one of its 2 0most iconic models, the new BMW Series 3 Saloon, a makeover in 2005. The subtle bodywork changes, such as the redesigned bonnet, new bumpers, lights and grille, ensure the BMW 3 Series remains one of the most able and sought-after cars in its class. Despite fierce competition from rivals such as the Mercedes C-Class, Alfa 159 and the Jaguar X-Type, the BMW Series 3 Saloon still continues to offer the driver a unique and enjoyable driving experience.
The exterior look of the BMW 3 Series Saloon is unique and individual. The defined kidney grills and twin corona headlights give the car a more focused look, whilst the strong bonnet precision lines and sculpted front apron emphasise the car's natural sporting ability. Inside, the 3 Series Saloon offers standard BMW features such as alloy wheels, CD player, four electric windows, six airbags and stability control, as well as some of the more advanced technologies offered by BMW. The Auto Start-Stop feature automatically switches off the engine when the car isn’t moving, increasing efficiency and unnecessary fuel consumption, 20whilst the Optimum Shift Indicator makes looking ahead even easier by displaying which gear should be selected to help increase fuel efficiency.
The BMW 3 Series Saloon comes with the choice of a 2.0 diesel or petrol engine. The six-cylinder petrol engine offers excellent power-to-weight ratio and the twin-turbo means you get the best performance at= 0 minimal fuel consumption levels. The diesel engine in the new BMW 330d accelerates from 0 to 62mph in just 6.1 seconds while consuming just 49.6 mpg of fuel.
Trim levels include the ES, SE and M Sport. The M Sport trim includes 18" light alloy M Star-spoke style wheels, M Sport suspension, sport seats and M aerodynamic bodystyling. Models inclu d e the 318i/d, 320i/d, 325i/d, 330i/d, 335i/d and 318d.
