The BMW X1 is a crossover compact SUV manufactured by BMW since 2009. The X1 is the fourth vehicle to join the current BMW Sports Activity Series lineup which includes the X3, X5 and X6. Rivals include the Volvo XC90 and Audi Q5.
The new BMW X1 follows the same distinctive styling cues as its older siblings. Its dynamic shape and elegant silhouette emphasise the sporty and versatile nature of the X1. Inside, the rear seats split 40:20:40 allowing awkward objects like skis or golf clubs to be transported easily whilst still retaining four seats. The tilt adjustable backrests also create greater flexibility and luggage space without sacrificing comfort. Excellent workmanship and high-quality materials are apparent throughout the X1 and the interior cockpit, with its modern design concept, has been orientated towards the driver.
Under the bonnet, the X1 has a choice of five diesel engines to choose from including the sDrive18d, sDrive20d, xDrive18d, xDrive20d and xDrive23d. The sDrive models offer rear-wheel drive with impressive agility and maneuverability while the xDrive models boast exceptional BMW handling. BMW’s EfficientDynamics technology is available in the new X1, reducing emissions while increasing driving pleasure.
