BMW X5

Launched in June 2010, the new BMW X5 boasts subtle styling changes and an entirely new range of engines. Its main rivals include the Volvo XC90 and Audi Q5.

The latest generation X5 boasts a new exterior design with increased body-colouring, aluminium-look scruff guards, prominent new headlight design and re-configured tail-lights at the rear. Three new metallic paints have been added to the new X5 range and the latest generation model also offers a higher level of standard equipment including Nevada leather upholstery, Servotronic steering iDrive Controller, front and rear Park Distance Control, cruise control and a new eight-speed automatic transmission.

Under the bonnet, the new BMW X5 boasts a new range of engines. The entry-level xDrive30d has been upgraded to produce 241bhp - 10bhp more than before - while returning 38.2mpg and only 195g/km of CO2. The new xDrive40d boasts an engine first seen on the 7-Series producing 302bhp and 600Nm of torque and rocketing from 0-60mph in just 6.6 seconds. For those who want to go even faster, the xDrive48i has been replaced by the 402bhp twin-turbo V8 xDrive50i.

A wide range of new and innovative options are available on the new BMW X5 including lane departure warning, side view cameras, speed limit display and Active Cruise Control with ‘Stop and Go’ function. Revised optional 20’’ alloy wheels are available in conjunction with the Dynamic package or M Sport and the popular media package now includes DAB digital radio and USB interface.

Prices for the new, revised X5 will start from £43,980 for the 30d SE, rising to £58,175 for the 50i M Sport.

Car Leasing vs Buying

Car Leasing Video DemoThere are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.

Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
