Launched in 2008, the BMW X6 is a mid-size luxury Sports Activity Coupé that combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, all wheel drive and all-weather ab ility) with the stance of a coupé (bold styling and dramatic sloping roof). Under the hood, the new V8 twin-turbo with 300Kw (407hp) delivers its maximum torque of 600 Nm from just 1,750 rpm, accelerating the BMW X6 xDrive50i from 0-62 mph in 5.4 seconds. Another engineering first - a turbocharger built in the block – means it’s also compact and light. The High-precision Direct Injection means fuel consumption is kept low at just 22.6 mpg and the six-speed Sport automatic transmission has extra shift paddles on the steering wheel to combine driving pleasure with driving safety.
For the first time ever in a BMW, Dynamic Performance Control gives the new BMW X6 unique new cornering qualities. Seamless drive distribution to the left and right-hand rear wheels improves agility and track stability, regardless of whether the driver is accelerating or not. Together with the all-wheel drive system xDrive, Dynamic Performance Control lets you enter bends more accurately, cross-accelerate faster and grip the road better when you accelerate out.
