I opted for the diesel version of this car and have been very pleased with it. This variant gives all the features and beautiful styling combined with a practical and economical engine.
The 1.9 diesel is not the most efficient unit around, but it is powerful at around 150 bhp and provides masses of torque making general driving a pleasure. It also does work as a GT car giving a range of 600 miles and remaining comfortable even when I have driven it 400 miles in a day.
The car is stunningly styled and makes me smile every time I walk back to it.
Downsides are that the visibility from inside is poor and access for things such as replacing headlight bulbs or refilling the washer tank is ridiculously hard. However, all these foibles are forgiven once you're driving it...
Clearly the greatest thing about the car is it's looks. At first I thought it would be very impractical but was pleased to find that the rear seats will accommodate two adults. Also it's not immediately obvious that it is a hatchback with folding rear seats which means it should be able to also accommodate some reasonable loads.
As I mentioned the visibility from inside is poor as the windows are high and the rear pillars make over the shoulder views very limited. It does seem these could easily be fixed when you look at how this is done on cars such as the Audi TT.

Has very good handling, going around corners is extremely smooth, also very good over uneven roads. The car itself is spacious with a roomy boot. Looks and sounds brilliant. Has front wheel drive as standard.
My favourite feature of the Alpha Romeo GT is the handling, going around any type of corner is very smooth. It is easy to control under any circumstance and it is a nice ride on any surface.
The car looks like it is very fast, the body of it is streamline and sporty. The top speed is good but the 0-60 is average for a car of this type. Moving through speeds is smooth but it could be quicker.

1.8 TS Cloverleaf
THIS IS A GREAT CAR, WE WERE WORRIED ABOUT GETTING AN ALFA AS THEY DO GET A LOT OF BAD PRESS BUT WE'VE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS. WE CHOSE THIS ONE PURELY FOR LOOKS, ITS A REALLY SMART LOOKING CAR AND WE LIKE THE HIDDEN BACK DOOR HANDLES THEY HAVE AS IT MAKES THE CAR LOOK LIKE A 3 DOOR. ITS ALSO A GOOD SIZE, WE NEEDED A FAMILY CAR AND THIS HAS PLENTY OF ROOM TO GET THE CAR SEAT AND BUGGY IN.
HIDDEN BACK DOOR HANDLES LOOK SMART AND GIVE APPERANCE OF A 3 DOOR CAR. PLENTY OF LEG ROOM IN BACK SEATS AND GOOD BOOT SPACE. IT ALSO HAS A REALLY NICE SMART LOOKING INTERIOR
WOULD BE NICE TO GET MORE MILES TO THE GALLON, BETTER FUEL CONSUMPTION. VISABILITY CAN BE A BIT TRICKY OUT OF THE WINDSCREEN BUT THATS THE ONLY REAL PROBLEMS I CAN THINK OF!
