This car is a wonderful piece of work. The Audi A3 is my first car and I am so in love with it. Though it is a bit costly but driving it makes you forget its cost. The car has a good mileage and is really smooth on road. Even on sharp turns it is very stable. So, all-in-all, it is a wonderful car.
The interiors are mind-blowing. The optional navigation system confuses but is very helpful. The car has a good leg room. Also, the design is a marvel.
The price could be a little lower. Other than that, there seems to be no such thing in the car that would let you down. The car is just absolutely fantastic.

I have to say the car has been great for the first 2 years then it needed a new turbo fitted at 29000 miles as it was whistling really loud. Another new turbo fitted at 38000 miles and now at 41000 miles it is whistling loud again. Not really happy as Audi have been doing all the work. Take this aside, I love the way the car drives, handles and the finish inside is fantastic.
The finish inside is fantastic and the car is really comfortable. I find you can drive for miles and miles with ease. Fuel economy is really good. I love the sleek looks and shape of the car.
Improve the turbo's as it seems to be a known common problem of them failing early on this particular model.

Very reliable car. Good on fuel. Get around 450 miles to the tank for urban driving. Good take off speed and superbly built and engineered - it’s a fantastic drive overall. Had this car now two years and covered 19000 miles. Excellent to drive, very quiet, the seats seem to fit you like a warm snug glove. The ride is firm but not hard as you can feel bumps but they won't jar your back leaving you to take pain killers at the end of your journey. The sound system increases in volume as with your speed and should you break hard you can catch it out before the volume drops again, strange when it first happens. All the switches & controls have a feel of high quality about them. Servicing is not cheap though but the car will tell the garage what it needs at each service with intervals of 14000 to 17000 miles or two years which ever accurs first. Tyre issues with the first set lasting only 13000 miles also outer edge seems to wear fast. Had problems with the drop locks developed loads of creeking sounds in the cabin. Audi sorted these problems out under warranty. Apart from a few small minor niggles you will find the engine is smooth, refined and very strong. MPG is very good with plenty of power through out the rev range in every gear. Enjoy it as I do,this is a car that wants to be driven.
Good turbo therefore great at taking off quickly. Almost perfect as a car. The inside is beautifully quiet, with little road, suspension or wind noise. Also the engines seem tough and reliable and have lasted me many thousands of miles.
More room in back for passengers, bigger boot space required as cannot fit a pram into it. Electrics have went on several occasions i.e indicator switch, heating plugs, electric windows and radio so this needs looked at by Audi.

I am not the most experienced of car drivers, but I've been fortunate enough to own one of these (yes in black) for the last couple of years, and it is a joy to drive. Holds the road well, and has great acceleration.
Compact, yet fast and stylish. Nothing about this car makes it the most exciting car on the planet, but it is an all-round performer.
General problem with 3 dr cars, tight squeeze to get in the back. Quite poor rear visibililty, and the seats aren't that comfortable

This is my 3rd car so far, I used to have just a little Renault Clio and figured it was time to move up in the world. What drew me towards this car is its amazing looks, you have those mean looking lights with that big chrome grill which looks great. It drives really well, holds the road like glue and have very responsive steering. Its pretty quick off the mark in dry however as its a front wheel drive car, in wet it does loose traction despite it having esp. The interiors of high quality which leather steering wheel, and you will notice alot is illuminated when driving at night, even inside of the interior door handles. Its spacious enough to carry a family in and has a decent size boot, I even managed to fit in my double wardrobe in it with the seats down which is pretty good, overall a superb car!
Mostly the ESP because not only is it traction control, but its helps me avoid skidding in one case when I hit a huge puddle on a motorway as it applied the brakes automatically one by one which kept control of the car. Also another good feature is the auot dim inside mirror and puddle lights on the inside of the doors. There's alot of little things I could list but these are the main good ones.
Sometimes when the engine is hot, the car shakes a little when idleing, I have taken it to the garage and they said it is normal, I'm not sure if this is something they could improve on. Perhaps the seats could be a bit more comfortable as after long journeys I have alot of backache. Also if its been raining overnight, you cannot open your window straight away and drive as all the water from the roof comes pouring into the interior which is really annoying.

I've owned my Audi A3 for 3 years now, bought it second hand from the first owner. The car is extremely reliable - never given problems on road. Sturdy - handling is excellent. Drive quality is excellent and has not deteriorated in the 20K miles I have driven it. What doesn't cease to amaze me is that this car has done about 90K miles and still drives like new.
Servicing costs are high if you take it to an Audi garage - so I dont. I have found cost effective specialist Audi repair available. The last service cost me only £155.
I have spoken to other Audi owners and they say that this car has life upto and beyond 150K miles. For petrolheads who wish to have the more powerful diesel variants, there are a number of engine choices available. I prefer the petrol one I have - it gives me about 30mpg urban which may not be excellent compared to some of the newer models on road but small price to pay for everything else I get.
Reliability, sturdiness, drive quality. Never has broken down in the 3 years I have driven it or given any problems. My favourite choice of car in case of long drives. Have been from England to Scotland and back a number of times. Its a rock solid car - both in terms of build quality and reliability. Paint is excellent quality - shines like new after a polish.
Could have had a little more power in the 1.6 litre version. At times I have experienced that the car could do with more power, usually in hilly areas. On motorways the car is fine and is able to handle 100+ mph without straining the engine. 1 plastic part for the seat recliner broke off. Probably due to the person who was struggling with it rather than the car itself. Thats the only thing that has broken in the car so far.

A great car. 2004 Sport spec (the predecessor to the S Line) with 17" alloys, full leather, cruise control, traction etc. I am a sales rep so do a lot of miles and it is a pleasure to drive and be in all day long. It has now got 100k miles on the clock and has never missed a beat. Services have been a little expensive, but it has never let me down. Equipment level is great as is vision around the car to park etc. I cannot get the children's car seats in the back as the front seats do not come forward far enough.
Great looking car with a good badge that gives kudos. Cruise control is great for maintaining your licence and getting good fuel economy - always between 45 and 50mpg. The stereo is good quality and gives great sound - fortunate as the car is very noisy at motorway speeds.
The car is soooo noisy. Motorway speeds are bearable but you need to have the stereo pretty loud. Speaking on the phone (on speakerphone) is pretty uncomfortable. They also need sort the access to the back seats out. It is impossible to get a full size childrens car seat in the back. My car also has no audio controls on the steering - maybe something that was put on newer cars. It also has a tendency go go through rear side light bulbs - about 6 in the 2 years I've had the car.

Bought this car a couple of years ago now and so far not really had any trouble with it. I chose this car as I wanted a family car that would last as well as hold its value. I read a lot of reviews before choosing this car as I wanted a car that not only looked good but also was reliable and safe. Safety was a main point for me buying this car. It accellerates well and the handling is very good. The interior of the car is good quality, and I feel this will last well. The seats are also comfortable for longer journeys with plenty of space in the front of the car, however I find that the space in the back is a little limited which is a shame as apart from this I don't have any other complaints. I would recommend this car to others.
The quality of the finish and the interior. Unlike my last car where the fabric started to show signs of wear and tear after a few years I believe the Audi has a better quality finish.
Unless I have the seat adjusted to the highest point I am unable to read all of the dials clearly. I cannot see the clock for example without having to stretch my head over the steering wheel slightly, taking my eyes off the road.

Love everything about it, the ride is amazing. I like the music box it has inside so cool. If only this car had a a built in GPS this car would be stunning. Also I do not like the exterior design the build quality is excellent just don't like shape of it.
- Gear box designed funky
- The smooth ride
- The bhp of the car
- Interior desgin and the comfort.
Thats all I think for the features, have nothing to say.
Should have a built in GPS Thats all i think it needs. Has got everything for your ride. Also another improvement would be the exterior design.

This is a great car. It's very easy to drive, has great control and responsive acceleration. The light steering makes it easy to park - as does its size. If you don't drive it too hard the fuel consumption is very good.
The onboard computer tells you the fuel consumption and what mileage you will get out your tank based on your driving habits.
Very small point but when the passenger seat is pulled right forward the seatbelt clip is right at the level of the handbrake making it difficult to get your hand round the handbrake which is a bit annoying - moving the seatbelt clip back a little would help.
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
