Audi A4 Saloon Reviews

Audi A4 Saloon

The A4 is family size executive saloon. Its range of engines are nothing short of brilliant with its new and cleaner 2.0 Tdi common rail diesel. Trim levels include the SE, S and the flagship S4.

Handling / The look

I find the Audi A4 one of the best cars for the open road, you feel like the car becomes a part of you. This car is a pleasure to drive. Smooth on the road, brillant on corners. Lovely interior with added comfort. Looks good on the outside, total class. Makes you feel proud to be a owner of a Audi. The Audi comes with its on board computer that keeps you informed of all the things you may forget such as, needing replacement bulbs to countdown to yearly service.

Favourite Features

The look of the car is one of my favourite features, also the fact it is so nice to drive, no feeling any bumps on the road, just 100% smoothness. Wide deep boot space for your monthly shopping trip.

Suggested Improvements

I have sat and thought of what I could say is needed for a suggested improvement of the Audi A4, and I must say I can not think of anything but I find it hard to park between two cars due to the size of the saloon version.

The Audi A4 Saloon

The Audi doesn't have the greatest MPG but it is still very competitive when compared to rivals. It does however boast a very comfortable ride quality and very smooth gear changes. The handling is very responsive and gives you the feeling of being in complete control.

Favourite Features

The CD changer is an obvious plus for someone wo loves music. The amazing quality leather interior is as pleasing to the eye as the exterior stylings.

Suggested Improvements

A better MPG would be a huge and obvious benefit. Also a slightly wider bootspace would suit my lifestyle (I play golf and am a keen camper, meaning that I have to pack a lot of lengthy equipment).

We have owned 2 of these cars. They are absolutely great. I have had previous cars in the past but this is the best one I have ever owned/ driven. It handles well, great fuel consumption, comfortable and is great to look at too!! Highly recommended!

Favourite Features

It is a great family car. We have a new baby and she never travells lightly! The Audi has no problem fitting all her stuff in. It also has great fuel consumption for a car of it's size.

Suggested Improvements

The only thing I would say is that with Audi's everything comes as an extra... so standard models don't really have any gadgets or toys.... whereas alot of other manufacturers offer a lot more even on the most basic models!

Unsurpassed quality

Review

Smooth easy ride, no fuss gear change generally, responsive handling. Super slick styling, awesome interior. For a turbo, relatively good MPG, but when a ride is this quality it you can afford to spend a few extra quid on the fuel! Sporty but practical, fast but safe... perfect!

Favourite Features

- Smooth ride
- Quality of build
- Fresh looks
- Practicality (huge boot!)
- Cd changer
- Full electric pack
- Leather interior

Suggested Improvements

- Smoother transition into second gear when engine is cold.
- Reverse parking sensors
- Some way of having 0 and 18 degreees on the climate control...either too cold or too hot!

Review: Audi A4

Review

Overall, I love this car. Basically its great to drive for everyday use, great in the bends, breaks are fine and just a joy to drive. Of course it looks great - as most Audi's do. and it has a warm feel unlike some bigger and taller cars. If this is the car you want, I'd recomend buying it.

Favourite Features

The interior, the handling, comfort, boot space is perfect, the car looks great, the grip is good, the interior & legroom and the accelaration.

Suggested Improvements

There is not much I can suggest to improve on this car. It looks and feels great already. Maybe 2 'rubbish' pockets on the sides on, in the back.

Audi A4 Saloon 2001

Review

Great looking car, inside and outside, very well made and built to last! :D

My one is Red and it looks beautiful, came standard with Audi 5 spoke alloy wheels, only front electric windows though and no sunroof which is a bit of a let down! Lovely space in the boot, a 42inch LCD/Plasma TV fits into it no problem :)

It is a automatic/Multitronic so it isnt really that fast compared to a manual car, but it does do decent speeds and has a decent top end. So far no problems with it, 100k and still going :)

Favourite Features

Dashboard! Looks great, very space-ish design, very elegant and sporty at the same time. Boot space is incredible, fit my 42inch Plasma TV into it with no problems. Passenger leg room is very good, no tight fit, very loose and enough room to move your legs about :)

Multitronic shifting! great for when you want to rev up to 8000rpms to get to a certain speed fast enough.

Suggested Improvements

This car should come standard with a sunroof and back electric windows, also wished it was a bit faster, 12 seconds to 60 is a bit slow for my liking, so engine performance should be revisited.

Excellent & effective

Review

Excellent, effective and very good looking car. Onboard computer informative, large boot space, also reasonable leg room space for both driver and co passengers. Good height space as well. It has been brilliant, no faults, a great runner, high quality and easy on short or long jounerys. Make no mistake, it is no slouch and eats up the motorway miles. The interior is pure quality; I don't think any manufacturer builds a car with as much quality and attention to detail as Audi, solid, stable, great steering feedback, no wind noise up to 80mph, great suspension, smooth transmission and decent engine. The TDI in this one must have been the bottom one which was very smooth on the motorway. In the city, it picked-up speed slowly, but not in a rush.

Favourite Features

Looks-led lights, leather seats. Economy is better than my last car, average at 75mph works out at 48.8mpg. Not bad for a fully loaded car! I think that Audi are on a winner with this car. Combining load capacity, economy and driving pleasure is guaranteed to attract the high mileage company car driver.

Suggested Improvements

Slightly noisy, wish could be slight less expensive, also very expensive servicing/maintenance. Pick up not that good, strange reflection on the right mirror from the dashboard. Perhaps with a dash in walnut rather than aluminum would be better.

Car Leasing vs Buying
