An all rounder is the best way to describe this car. It's an all round 8/10. It looks good, goes well, is economical with the element of luxury. It does what it says on the tin in typical BMW business like fashion. Ultra reliable as many are sold with well in excess of 100k miles. It will never be great but few BMW's are. There just very good at a lot of things.
Well geared 6 Speed box.
Well weighted power steering.
Good sleek styling.
Superb economy 500+ to a full tank.
Long distance comfort without breaking sweat.
Difficult to improve drive and ride as they are very good. Fuel economy is superb. Standard equipment really should be inclusive of cupholder.

This car is a joy to drive for the middle aged man with a family. Loads of room in it for the passengers. It is very nippy and very fuel efficient 50 mpg. The car is very well built and solid no rattles or bangs and has all the usual refinements electric windows by 4 electic mirrors. Great car for family and value for money.
My favourite feature of this car is the reversing sensor which beeps solid as you get close to another vehicle. The seats in the front are also so comfortable and can be adjusted in 3 different ways to find the ideal driving position. The onboard computer also is very handy with mpg average speed, time, outside temp and how many miles are left in tank.
The dash is a bit boring could do with a few more colours. The dials are also dull to look at but again this car is 8 years old. The radio/cassette could do with a makeover as it really is very bland and compared to other cars is extremely boring but then again it does the job it is supposed to do.

I find that the BMW 320i is smooth, reliable and fast. I think any 1 should buy one, its a lovely car. Good for the family, loads of space in the back for the kids. My next car is going to be the new 325i I think BMW is the best car u can buy.
Seats are so comfortable and my M3 wheels. In fact, I just love this car, the shape of how it looks, the feel of how it drives and its a good family car.
The ride could be a little harder so it was more like a sport car and the engine could be a little more powerful.

After upgrading my car from a Ford Focus to a used BMW 318i I was highly surprised at how the build quality and drive differ from that of my old car. Firstly, the handing of the car feels heavier, probably because its a heavy car, but also this gives it the feeling of it being less nimble around corners. Having said this, the drive is fantastic with the engine producing lots of torque giving you a buzz every time you press the accelerator in a lower gear, which makes up for the difference in agility of the steering.
The interior of the car is basic in terms of BMW standards as it is only a basic model, however in comparison my old car it is miles better. Heated front seats and a cd 6 changer came with my car and this car feels in a completely different league to the hatchback cars you get. The engine which is a 2.0 litre does not guzzle fuel and I get a good mpg return on my motorway miles. Around country lanes and in town the car mpg is less than that on the motorway although it is quite economical when driven sensibly.
Overall this is a great car which is adequately powered and has a good interior. The mpg is relatively high and the space provided in the boot/car is sufficient for a 4 person family.
The favourite feature of my car would have to be the cruise control function on my steering wheel which lets me set the speed to which I’m travelling at. Once the button is pressed and the cruise control activated, the car will hold any given speed above 10mph until the cruise function is turned off, or the brake pedal is pressed. The cruise control function has been an invaluable asset in my car and I regularly use it on motorway miles, and it always gets used during roadworks when they insist on setting up average speed cameras. This gadget has probably saved a couple of points on my licence, as well as keeping the revs low and therefore giving good mpg on long journeys.
One of only 2 improvements I could suggest to this car in specific would be to include a heated front screen element in the glass so when it’s frosty/icy you can just turn on the front heating and the ice will melt off relatively quickly. The air con does do a good job at keeping the screen clear, but coming from a car where I had this feature I do actually miss it. Secondly, I do not like the fact that the spare wheel in the boot is a space saving one that is only half the size meaning if you do get a puncture, you have to get it repaired pretty quickly as the space saving tyre can only go to 50mph, and is not as safe as normal tyres.

I have a 3-Series BMW, which I bought five years, when I moved to Surrey, from Leeds and I required a car for transport.
My BMW is a delight to drive and I have had no major problems with it. There are many great features to my BMW, such as electric windows and sunroof, which are essential during the long hot summers. I also have ABS brakes, which makes for an easier drive.
I regularly travel 100 miles a week and never feel worried, as my car is reliable and efficient, which is superb during these tough financial times. I also travel long distances, such as London to Glasgow and always confident in the performance for my car, as well as the comfort. During my long journeys, my seat feels excellent and I never suffer any back problems.
I think that my BMW looks very sleek and stylish and I really enjoy how it looks after a wash and wax. I never tire of the compliments from friends when they discover that I own a BMW.
BMW's are easy to maintain and I normally manage to fix the minor problems with my car and only sometimes have to rely on the BMW car manual.
I would recommend a BMW to everyone I know and know that I have suggested the best car possible.
There are many great things about my BMW. I will try to include my favourites.
The electric window is great and being able to move it forward and back, as well as up and down is a great benefit during warm weather.
The large fuel tank and good fuel efficiency is excellent and I never have to worry about running out of petrol on long journeys provided I fill up beforehand.
I also like the comfortable seat and extras that allow you to adapt your seating position for any type of journey. You can move the seat forward and back, up and down. The fact that I also have plenty of leg room between the pedals and seat is a great benefit.
I would suggest that you make cars with rear windscreen wipers, as many BMW models don't come with this. This would make a real difference to driving, especially as the UK is famous for it's heavy downpours.
I would also like to see a more stylish dashboard, with many different options, such as polished wood finish and also an improved sound system with all the modern additions.
I would also like to see a large choice of alloys tyres, which I feel would make for a more sleeker and stylish car. I would prefer that this did not affect the price too much.

I have always loved BMWs - there is no going back once you drive this car! Although there seems to be alot of sales reps with this car but then it is reliable and efficient with a feeling of a good solid car.
Cruise control and reverse parking sensors, compact disc and radio controls are on the steering wheel so you don't have to reach over to the system and do it manually.
Inbuilt satallite navigation system would be wonderful rather than having to mess around with a portable one.

As it goes a fairly run of the mill car, high quality build as you'd expect from German engineering however the engine simply isn't powerful enough for the size/weight of the car and therefore it really lacks some oomph. Fine for cruising on motorways but anything else and the fuel consumption just plummets. To sum up I suppose its a middle of the road car built well but not going to delivery any excitement.
Build quality is very high, reliability so far I have had the car a year and it has never let me down and not even a suggestion of not starting. Design, stereo system is good qualtiy, interior space is excellent for the size of the car and boot is spacious.
Better fuel economy and more power at the lower end to get the car moving, could have better spec level without making everything an extra.

I have my BMW 318i SE for over 8 years now. Generally, it is a very reliable car. It had an accident 5 years ago but thanks to the solid bodywork, it absorbed all the crashing force and we were all safe. Since the accident, even through repair by an approved garage, it wasn't the same. Car seems to roll or skid at the roundabout and the rolling bar needed to be replaced frequently. My friend who has the same model had the same problem when at the roundabout. Afterall it is a BMW and don't expect to be cheap in repairing and servicing.
We really like th cruise control especially on the motorway and the mullti control steering wheel is very convenient.
Overall it is brillant. However, boot size seems to be very restricted. The improvement needed to be at the stability. It will skid easily especially on a rainy day or snow. Need to get a better grid on the road.

Love this car, very fast and I average 43 mpg urban, have owned the vehicle for over 1 year and have hardly had any issues. The interior is the best for a car which you can buy for less than 10,000 pounds. There is plenty of boot space, and the drive is superb about 150 brake horse power with lots of torque. Cornering is smooth, another thing is the angel eyes very bright even during the day.
I love the built in satnav and the on board computer, although its not colour screen, and the electric folding mirrors these are extras not available as standard but are fantastic definatley worth having. Another thing is the angel eyes very bright even during the day.
Rear windows should be tinted, the sound of the engine is a bit loud, but thats normal with diesels, very annoying after being an owner of a 325i. Apart from that this vehiclis one of thie owned.
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
