The retro styled Fiat 500 was relaunched exactly 50 years after the famous original. The new version offers great styling, is fun to drive and competitively priced.

Simply a awesome car! Love the design, the quality of almost everything equipped in it, the features, the ride quality. I mean there is hardly feature of this car that I dont like. Riding this cute little thing is one of the greatest feelings. Strongly recommend to all of you.
The interior quality is very very good. The dashboard looks great. Legroom is good. The car looks small from outside but inside it has got lots of room.
Some modifications in the music system should be there. But as for this price of the car, I hardly find any problems.

If your looking for something thats funky, good looking, fun to drive and still eminently sensible look no further than the Fiat 500. The styling is unashamedly retro, but theres no compromise needed in this classic car. The interior is surprisingly roomy - Im six foot two and Im happy inside, even with two kids in the back. Performance is fine, even on the motorway theres still acceleration when you need it, but you can still squeeze it in to park almost anywhere. Its in the lowest category for road tax and insurance and gets about 55 mpg - similar to a Prius.
I love the interior - cream and blue its so retro, yet youve got up to date features like a brilliant cd player. You can fold down the rear seats if you need to carry a bit more.
I wouldnt change much, but the car can be a bit slippery to drive in icy conditions. A bit more grip would be nice.

I purchased my Fiat 500 (09) in May 2009, so far it has covered 9000 miles and had no problems at all, the car is realible economical (50mpg on average) £35 PA to Tax, and very cheap to insure, it brings a smile to my face every time I drive it. It cruises on the motorway well and comes into its own on country roads where it sticks like glue. I have owned many Fiats over the years and the build quality on the new 500 is way better than any of the older Fiats (No worry of trim snapping just by looking at it). This is one car I would recommend all round and with its cult status residuals are also very good leading to great resale prices down the line.
The Built in Blue and Me system is a great system, plug in a USB Memory stick with your music on and off it goes, pairs with your phone to take phone calls through the car, records driving statistics to the memory stick so you can put it in your PC and monitor your driving style etc. Sounds gimiky but you would be amazed how much you come to use the system, and how voice control over car accesories helps you keep your eyes on the road.
The front bumper tends to pick up stones chips easily, this is something that shows up on certain colours (Mine is yellow) and the stone chips show black, maybe its the paint used but it could be improved as after 9000 miles I have a good dozen or so small black specs on the bumper.

I absolutely love my car, it is my world!! It has style and gadgets. There is only one problem though, that is that my mum is always wanting to drive it!! She loves the car also and is constantly trying to take it off my hands for the weekend!! The car is beautiful and brilliant for a young driver as it is relatively cheap to insure. Every part of the car looks fantastic the interior especially. I really recommend the Fiat 500!!!!
The dash board has to be my favourite feature and the speedo and everything on the inside! I also love the wheels and comfort it provides.
The only thing I dont like about the interior of the car is the head rests! They bring a slight sense of tackiness to the car but overall I love it.

The Fiat 500 was my first car, and I absolutely love it. Everything from the exterior to the interior, it really is an amazing car. The exterior is funky and stylish, and looks great it pretty much any colour. The inside is just as stylish, the seats are very comfortable for long journeys, and the way the gear stick is mounted feels very natural when driving. The dashboard and side panels are the same colour as the outside of the car, and the lighting inside of the car at night is great.
The "fog" lights can be turned off via the on board controls within the car, these controls can also be used to change tracks on CDs, etc. The CD player plays MP3 CDs, which is an added bonus, it saves changing CDs all the time. Leg room is spacious in the back and front, also the rear seats fold down allowing extra storage space when needed. The fuel consumption is great (quite low driving in the city), as well as the insurance and tax grade that it falls into! The Fiat 500 is a very reliable car that has not failed me yet, and I'm sure it will keep running for many more years.
One of the best features of this car is the way that the gear stick is mounted, it fits in seamlessly with the rest of the car, and provides a great driving experience. The petrol cap is also another favourite feature of mine, the key is needed to unlock and lock the petrol cap, and a certain amount of turns are needed to secure the cap. I love the fact that it has an MP3 CD player, as I stated before, this makes it so much easier listening to music in the car, as you don't need to carry around countless CDs all of the time.
A choice of internal panel colour would be fantastic as I think a red panel would set of the white interior but it has to be the same colour as the external paintwork and I really liked the car in white. A four door model would be better as the doors are very wide which is tricky in tight car parks and also very heavy so if they swing back they can hurt! It would also be easier to carry passengers as the front seats can be a bit cumbersome to tilt and slide if you haven't got the knack. Heated front wind screen as an option would be great.

This is a fantastic little car however you do pay a premium for it. The car is brilliant and the diesel engine is excellent. Was looking at getting a 1.2 with stop start technology as I tend to sit in traffic for quite a lot of the time but decided against this after I tried my friends diesel and was really impressed with it, although the stop start technology is clever.
My favourite feature of this car is the blue and me technology and the ability to record how efficiently you have been driving certainly makes me think about how make my driving more efficient.
This is an excellent little car but a bit noisy inside could do with some more soundproofing. I would also like to see a boot light when your spending this much on a car!

This is a fantastic little car I loved it as soon as I saw it and it has not disappointed me. It is surprisingly spacious and easily seats four people. The 1.2 three cylinder engine is actually quiet nippy and revs well and is very fuel efficient not as much as stated but still very good. It handles well on the 15" alloys and really grips the road well. The interior is fantastic, very modern but very retro at the same time and all of the features are very good. All around the car is everything I hoped for and more and I would recommend to everyone its really fun and everyone loves them. Please buy one.
My favourite feature has to be the cute front end of the car it looks so good but again all of it is great can't choose one.
The dash is a bit plasticy and as I have been driving Audi's and VW's for the last few years, the build quality isn't as good but still not bad. For the price I think its actually very good.

I love love love love love this car. Its the first car I have ever owned from brand new and *touch wood* its faultless. From its fun character to countless safety features, the boot isn’t too small, you can comfortably fit four adults into it (unless you’re well, of the larger than large proportions) and the city mode driving is fantastic for the more complicated manoeuvres and parking challenges.
Colour choices: mine is in bright red with co-ordinating fabric interior trim. Miles per gallon efficiency: mine is consistently over 48 mpg despite doing mostly city driving. Character and personality of the car: mine is nicknamed the firebug.
The only improvements I can think of a simply dreams as I couldn’t afford some of the add-ons. The USB input for music and the convertible drop top (that’s the 500C model). Ooh a remote control for the music device would be good for when those in the back are choosing the next tune.

I have owned my car for a year now and still have people comment on how nice the Fiat 500 is. It makes me smile when I see it and I think the inside is even better thought out which makes it very fun to drive. I love the retro styling and the bluetooth is very handy so well worth adding as an extra for the price if don't choose a model that has it as standard. I also chose the leather seats which look fantastic and have worn very well so far.
I would recommend you take a test drive though as the visibility is restricted because of the small windows and wide pillars either side of the windscreen. My husband doesn't like to drive it because he finds the windscreen too low and narrow and the pedals too close together. I have no problem with the pedals and love the high sitting position so I don't mind working around the reduced visibility but I did invest in the parking sensors and would not like to drive this car without them, they are wonderful! I also invested in the additional road holding and find this car very smooth, quiet and fun to drive. I love the positioning of the gear stick just beneath the dashboard rather than on the floor, I find it much quicker and easier to change gear but you'll see if that suits you or not on a test drive. I invested in climate control which works very well in the height of summer and the depths of winter but air con may well do just as well for most.
The retro styling is very good fun and the dashboard is very well laid out so you can see things clearly. I love getting the temperature warnings on the dash in icy weather and seeing who's calling when the phone rings at a glance. I love the positioning of the gear stick and the high seats, very comfortable in the leather option. I would not be without the added extra parking sensors - a must for a car with such small windows restricting the visibility. I love the fact that the bluetooth cuts the radio for you when a call comes through and shows you who is calling and the text reading service is absolutely ace! It's also a hug bonus that the road tax is just £35 and the fuel economy is good. Also I hear that their popularity has kept second hand prices high too.

One problem I have is with the paint, dirt is very hard to wash off the car (white), no matter how hard you scrub. I feel as though alloys should also come standard with this car, but this is more of a preference than anything else. Another issue I have with the car is that after having it for about a year, I checked the oil and there was none in there. I thought this was very strange as the car was only a year old. The only other issue I have is that I feel as though the glove compartment could have a door on it, to hide whatever is in there.
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
