Ford Fiesta Reviews

Ford Fiesta

The well received Ford Fiesta went on sale in 2008. Better looking, more fun to drive and with improved refinement over the old model the new version sets new standards in the supermini sector.

Nice 'Ford' Fiesta !

This car is one of the best cars in its category... Small, comfortable and most importantly, practical for every-day use. I like the exterior design; looks stylish and pretty =). However, the interior design is not that good. It feels cheap inside (it IS cheap, yeah) but I mean not what I expected from 'Ford'! Driving it is quite fun. As I said, practical ;) but this is not a super car, it will let you down beyond 80 miles per hour :p.
Generally, I am satisfied with all the features it has (Multimedia support mostly). It is hard to choose between a Volkswagen Polo and a Ford Fiesta just from the outside: After testing both of them, the Polo showed more performances but less practical. So I chose the Ford and I've never been -seriously- disappointed... I like it =D.

Favourite Features

Exterior design, Fun to drive, multimedia support (MP3 and Audio). Performances: ABS, Powerful engine (enough for this kind of use). Auto Air conditioning...

Suggested Improvements

Interior design, more available colors, more comfortable back seats. Maybe a better screen (too small and quite difficult to use)

A good car

The Ford Fiesta is a really awesome car. It is smooth and reliable. Its interiors are very luxurious and comfortable. The mileage is acceptable for such a good car. The exterior is also fantastic. The price is very high and the car is not for high-speed.

Favourite Features

The interior is very comfortable and luxurious. The looks are great. The car is silent and smooth. The services and maintance is quite satisfactory.

Suggested Improvements

The price range is very high. Also the mileage is acceptable but not good. The car is unstable at high speeds. But, anyway it is a good car.

Could be better

Review

A nice car for everyday use; It is quite small and very practical in the town centre. It is beautiful from the outside, however, it is a bit posh from the inside! The doors are too simple to be beautiful, the back seats is not what you expect from 'Ford'. The Volkswagen Polo is much better concerning the interior design. As for the price, the basic model is quite expensive for those couple basic features... But the 'full options' price, is reasonable.

To finish with, this is not the best car of its category but it is the ideal one for the everyday use (not family or traveling use).

Favourite Features

There is no feature that makes you crazy about the car but those are the most important:
- Comfortable front seats
- Fun to drive (the most important probably)
- Big boot (relatively)
- Safety

Suggested Improvements

Better interior design, MP3 support and other media features such as TV for back seats. Parking radars...

Fab Ford Fiesta

Review

Just been given this car as a company car and I love it!! It has a lovely smooth drive, comfortable seats so that I don't ache during long journeys and extra features that make life fun. Although the mobile phone bluetooth connection can be rather temperamental at times and will not connect all the time which can be very annoying if it happens on a long journey. There seems to be loads of room in the back seat and in the boot which makes a change for me. I love the way the indicators have a lane changing mode which means you don't have to remember to turn it off after changing lanes! All the heating and sound system controls are easily to hand so that you don't need to take your eye off the road. It has been very good to handle in the recent snowy weather, which is very reassuring. The gearbox is very smooth and I love the little arrow that tells you that you need to move up a gear - no danger of me idling in fourth when I could be in fifth!!

Favourite Features

Mobile phone bluetooth is great. Love the arrow that tells you to move up a gear. Gearbox is very smooth. I looks so 'modern and trendy'. Plenty of room inside for driver, passengers and in the boot.

Suggested Improvements

Make the bluetooth more reliable if possible. Put a reversing sensor in more models as it is quite difficult to see how close you are to something when reversing.

Not a bad runner

Review by John Locke on 11/1/2010

Review

It's a nice sturdy car. Its build quality is very good, like most fords. The steering is really nice and the steering wheel itself is leather (or what feels/looks/smells like leather). No Fiesta engine is quiet though, while road and wind noise also join the cacophony. But supportive, high-set seats and a spot-on driving position pleases, making up for the lack of space for the clutch foot. The back seat space is so so so spacious. It is amazing how much you can fit in this little car, although as I mention in the improvements, the boot is a little small.

Favourite Features

The shape of the car is something I like a lot. it looks good from all angles, The next best thing about this car is the price. The value for money is outstanding. The amount of stuff you can fit in this car is outstanding. Your passengers will not be complaining of leg room in this car. Its so spacious in the back. So plus points are def the room, the price, the style. Great little runner as I said in the title. The ratings I give it also show how much I think of this car. Very good car.

Suggested Improvements

The engine is quite noisy, so perhaps the next gen version could be quieter. The sound isn't great so if you are thinking of a sports car then think again, not ideal for long journeys if you get headaches easily. The windscreen wipers are also not great. These are all superficial things though, I dont want to take anything away from this car. It is a very well built, good nippy car. Besides these little points, and perhaps the size of the boot are the only minor issues. Class act, so my suggestion is to buy one if you have the dosh, which you probably do as its pretty cheap and a nice looking car.

This is the second Ford I have owned last one went for 13 years, and would have went longer had I not deicded to buy a new one, so im hoping for the same again. Reliable car, reasonable cost. Comfortable, firm seats and head rest, plently of power.

Favourite Features

Loads of Space inside. Its the basic model so theres nothing special but its practical and reliable, nippy as well.

Suggested Improvements

I have the basic model and it works fine no complaints or suggestions. I do think the heater seems to take too long to heat up the car.

Fantastic Little Car

Review by Chris Riley on 11/12/2009

Review

This is a fantastic little car for me and my family. It is fuel economical and has cheap road tax. It is very roomy in the front and back for your average child and is a nice smooth journey for all the family. It runs nicely and sounds great. We havent had any problems with it since owning it since 2007 from new.

Favourite Features

My favourite features on the car is all of the safety features including airbags in the front back and sides. The security features are also good with built in alarm.

Suggested Improvements

Interior gadgets could be improved by adding more into the car as it is a bit basic. The interior could also be improved as the design seem basic and not very modern.

Hot Hatch

Review

The Fiesta Zetec S is one of the funnest cars I have ever been in and it such an easy car to used for everyday tasks. I have one of these cars and at 21, its cheap to insure and its such a little pocket rocket. People that you pass look at it like it such an expensive car.

Favourite Features

My favourite feature has to be the pop boot - I know its simple but it helps so much when taking things to the car and it makes life that bit easier.

Suggested Improvements

As I see it it could do with a bit more power and the interior should come with a bit more options as the only 2 colours are red or blue - dont get me wrong there nice but what about a white or black or even leather?

2009 Ford Fiesta

Review by Janet - Marie McKeown on 8/12/2009

Review

I am very happy with the car. I love the Hot Magenta colour. It is a dream to drive, very easy to use and figure out the functions. I love the sporty look. I have no complaints what so ever with the car.

Favourite Features

Favourite features are the bluetooth, radio, electronic mirrors, really everything that comes as standard with the 2009 Ford Fiesta Zetec.

Suggested Improvements

The only thing I can think to improve the car is that they make the folding mirrors as standard, I think that feature comes in very handy, especially when trying to get in and out of tight spaces.

NOT HOT, NOT PINK

Review by Tina King on 8/12/2009

Vehicle

5Dr Hatch 1.4 Titanium Auto

Review

You know this car, reviewed charging onto the battlefields then around a shopping mall, or gliding down a street a vision of neon pink in the Ford adverts. Alas this hot magenta car has so far been resplendant in dark red and the response of the auto gear box when kicked down may frighten a cyclist on a good day. Even so - for some quirky reason I love this car.

Favourite Features

The famous 'moving' shape makes this a pretty car and, dare I say it, a bit of a girly capri!!! Fairly solid constuction (speaker wire detached 2 days from purchase) but passed the safari park monkey drive test losing only the wash wiper nozzles.

Suggested Improvements

For a car strongy marketed in part at women it was a fiendish touch to make sure that the drive shaft/gear stick housing met with a very rough and sharp plastic edge ensuring on each journey ruined stockings and, on occasson, bleeding legs.
