The well received Ford Fiesta went on sale in 2008. Better looking, more fun to drive and with improved refinement over the old model the new version sets new standards in the supermini sector.

When I got the new Ford Fiesta Zetec, I thought yes it looks hot! It has great lines, great shape, lovely wheels and more importantly a sporty edge. But what I didnt expect was a great ride that didn't disappoint. I had been driving a 1.7i Zetec Puma - which was very quick and had great handling and response. And I thought this would be a major step down to a 1.25 Fiesta but it was not - not at all. The Fiesta Zetec also has very good handling - even at speed and a nippy acceleration on it too. Much better than the 1.3 standard Fiesta. As always with the Fiesta it has good economy and will always re-sell as its one the most popular cars on the road.
My favourite features are 1. The handling 2. The aggressive and sporty exterior look and 3. The alloy wheels. When you combine good looking bright alloys with a sporty looking front end and light - it is always going to result in instant desire!
The motorway ride is not great. As its a small engine and has a low horse power when its cruising at 80mph down the motorway it doesn't sound too great. Although it still handles well. Maybe a sportier exhaust or better induction system to replace that horrible high rev's sound would be better for most people.

My little Ford Fiesta has served me well for 3 years now (it's an '06 plate). Not once have I experienced a problem and have grown up with the car (was bought for my 21st birthday).
Although a diesel it runs well and has that little bit of zip required every now and then.
Although not very spacious in the rear, there's plenty of legroom and headroom in the front. The drive itself is fantastically simple, although I still have a little trouble finding reverse gear every so often.
If you're looking for a mid-priced hatchback that has everything you would need to get from A to B and a few comforting accessories (a/c, CD player etc) then a Ford Fiesta is a perfect choice. Long live the Ford Fiesta
It's simple. May sound strange but when you're first learning to drive and/or have little driving experience, a Fiesta has to be the best choice to drive. It really is very easy, yet very comfortable too.
When it was purchased, Ford added A/C without extra charge, and although I use infrequently, it's very useful on the odd hot day stuck in a jam or in the depths of winter when some much-needed warmth is required, so the A/C is a great feature you should contemplate.
I have very few gripes with the Fiesta, however there our a number of things they could do to improve it. Firstly, as aforementioned, finding reverse gear can occasionally be difficult. The windows also steam up easily and quickly so this should be addressed as this could be regarded as a health hazard. Finally, the rails the first seat run off should have better covering, as it's easily possible to slice the two off someone sitting in the rear seats, so this must be addressed.

A very nice little drive for driving within the city. Fuel economy not as good as expected. Also, drive is not comfortable for long drives. The engine quality is good. Hardly any mantainance cost. The looks are normal, neither too good nor too bad.
The engine is the best feature. No break downs till now. As already said, there's hardly been any mantainance cost on this car.
Space has always been a bit of a problem in this car. There should have been a bit more space, especially in the rear.

This is a very nice little run around for city drivers. Fuel economy leaves something to be desired, however. It is not a particulary comfortable drive on long motorway stretches. As a mechanic, it is a very easy engine to work on and it is quite easy to get after market parts for the vehicle. It is a hardy engine and a good car for a boy-racer type.
The engine has to be my favourite part. It is easy to maintain and very rarely brakes down. It is very easy to get official or after market parts. It is also very easy to upgrade.
The leg room could do with improvements, as well as the clutch position. For passengers in the rear it can be uncomfortable and for the driver it is easy to get dead leg.

I have had this car now for approximately 3 years, I paid £700 for it and to be honest at the time I thought that this was a really good price... 3 years on and I can honestly say it is still going and each MOT had been passed. It just goes to show FORD can still do the Job. I always remember my father saying to me, if you want a reliable and cheap car... Get a FORD!
5 doors are always a bonus for the children especially! What I really like aswell is the clear and some-what large dash board. The colour is good too, for an R registration I thought that there may be some of this sun bleaching that people talk about, but no... It is all good!
To be honest I do not really think that there could be any suggested improvements, the only thing I would mention is that compared to my partners 306 the Escort seems to be lower down... Although that may just be me!

Apart from being an excellent design the transmission is superb. It can be used as either a manual or automatic so it satisfies all types of driver. The trim level of this level of car is also very good with the opportunity to improve the spec with the excellent options list.
Transmission: Can be used as a manual or auto. Styling: Leading edge as always now with Ford. Fuel Economy: Excellent even with the Petrol engine, when will Ford do a Fiesta Diesel Auto?
Nothing specific although more vibrant colours may be. Interior storage is just adequate so I suppose an improvement could be made there.

My partner has just recently brought this car in replacement of a golf as its a lot better off on the petrol to start off which is a big help in its self! It is a very comfortable and smooth ride, I had to give it a little test myself driving it and I love it driving it 100 miles only cost me £8.00 which I think is very good. It is a very stylish car that I would recommend to anyone.
Nice and stylish and also very cheap on the petrol. Also this car is a pretty competitive price to buy so an all over money saver! And also not too bad on the enviroment if that interests you. Quite smooth runner.
Some of the plastics are a little bit tacky but nothing too bad just could be a little better and also the controls can be a little bit fiddly but you soon get the hang of it. The rest of the car makes up for these minor problems, a good car.

I have been driving my P registration Ford Fiesta for four months and have had absoulutely no problems from it. It has a nice quiet zetec engine and as it is the small 3 door version it is very easy to park. Like I said, I have had no trouble at all, starts first time, every time. This is a very reliable car which is also very cheap to insure tax etc and uses very little fuel.
As it is a very basic car I have to say it has very little on the features front! But it does have a ciggy lighter unlike all these new cars lol, this has to be my favourite feature. It also has a very good built in stereo.
If I were improving this car I have to say I would struggle as it is a very neat little car which has never failed me yet. I would possibly redesign the front seat belts as when the kids are getting in and out they very nearly trip up on the design.

This is a stylish small car, comfy interior with good features as standard. Road handling is good and is economical on longer journeys. Some of the internal bits are not quite as sturdy as they appear but fit for purpose. Does not like snow however as its too low and has no grip.
I like the look and feel of this car. It is very good to drive. The sound system is pretty good with easy controls. I like the stereo steering column controls.
This car is not good in the snow. The mechanism for moving the seats is flimsy and has stuck several times. Its easy to fix but is annoying.

I had been a fan of Ford Cars for long time and this car has just been added to my favourite list! It got just about everything I needed, proper power for day to day driving, good space, interiors are good....just feel great to be on the drivers seat and everytime I drive it, just want to go on and on and on! :)
Great drive quality, value for money car. Enough room space for all my baggage and family! Also the fuel consumption is good for your pocket as well.
Air Conditioner should have been more effective, it takes quite some time to get the surroundings cool....
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
