2.5 St-3 S4
Fantastic car! Best I've ever had. Fast and sticks to the road like glue...... What more could you want in a car. But don't expect economy - just lots of fun! Fabulous on dark country roads as the lights are amazing!
Handling is superb. You'll never feel compromised. It just wants to help you out when you're manoeuvring. Creature comforts are good - heated leather seats, heated windscreen for those cold mornings.
The St-3 is limited to 4 seats - not 5 as on the normal Focus. Fine for childless couples. It's a bit more resticting for families. Cruise control would be another bonus as the superb handling means you have to watch the speed doesn't creep up on you.

I must say the Ford Focus ST3 is the best car I've ever owned. Its fast, comfortable and stylish. Very well built, great interior. Very nice to drive for long hours with out aching, I arrive at my destination feeling as good as when I left home.
I like the stereo as its got bluetooth for hands free. It hooks up to my phone nicely. The sound of the turbo coming in is wicked. Spacious boot and plenty of room for driver and passengers.
I cant honestly think of any way to improve on this car except if they could improve the fuel consumption that would be good.

I love this car. I find that its great for my family both in comfort and size. Especially when its my turn to run my daughter and friends to the various clubs. All of them can easily fit with plenty of room each. It handle great too. The power steering is super and to top it all off it looks great too.
It has got to be the size and style of the entire car really. Oh yes and its just wonderful to drive.
I would of liked a better stereo but I suppose you can't have everything. Also I would like to see a more snazzy interior, not that the one I've got is rubbish, just the same as every other.
1.8 Zetec S4
I've had my Ford Focus for over 6 years and found it a very reliable and good car. It handles well on the road, has some good acceleration and drives really well either in city traffic or on the motorway.
The interior is sleek, comfortable and cool and I'd recommend this car to anyone.
Plenty of room in the back for passengers. Smooth ride with even smoother gear changes! Nice cup holders too!
Would love a model with Air Con and I had to buy a CD unit as it came with a cassette player! A front window heater would be a bonus in those winter months too!

I have owned a Ford 1.8 Zetec S4 for over a year now and am very pleased I decided to purchase this model. The handling is second to none on this model with a great steering response. There is plenty of power in the engine to easily move in and out of lanes on the motorway. The drive is very comfortable with a roomy interior. I find this car both economical and stylish.
My favourite features of this car are it's roomy, quick and a cool looking drive with the bonus of being economical at the same time.
Braking not as comfortable as it could be for a sports model plus engine is fairly noisy compared to other diesel cars.
1.6 Zetec S4
This is a great little run around which rarely developes a problem. It is quite roomy inside although this is one of the things I will be suggesting for improvement. It is easy to drive and a pleasure.
All the usuals are here, but dont be expecting luxury. The reliability is always great in a car as the initial cost doesnt always reflect the total cost down the road.
A little more room would be great, and also the dashboard finish is a bit plasticy. This ruins it a little bit but still I cant complain, I dont think they were going for high end.

I have owned a good few cars in my time and have to say this is one of the better ones, its quite robust, looks the part and is reliable. Definitely feel the power behind it although being a diesel maybe a little slower to start, not too heavy though.
Its just so comfortable to drive, definitely a motorway car its made driving fun again (in my previous car - a Rover 25) I would have to overtake on a wing and a prayer. This car is smooth, comfortable and roomy and definitely has power behind it.
Mmhh hard to say what id change..(just wishing I'd picked the 5 dr)..quite a noisy car being a diesel TDi, but after a while I got used to it! No sunroof on my spec :( but the AC is superb so not really an issue. Its an all round good car :) Not the prettiest I've seen but must admit I'd like to think mine looks a bit sporty :)
1.8 Zetec S4
I love this car it's extremely reliable and lasted a few years without any problems whatsoever. Handles well and drives perfectly. I use it to get to work five times a week and I've driven it on long journeys across the country as well.
Great handling, decent power, great fuel consumption, extremely reliable, plenty of space inside with a nice interior.
It's not great when turning in back gear and I'm not too happy with the acceleration at times. Also there seems to be a slight turbo lag that could be improved on.
1.6 Zetec S4
Have had this car for some time now. The 1600 is plenty fast enough and pulls away quite well when needed. Relatively cheap to service and buy new parts as there are numerous places out there. Overall a very good car for the money. There are some good deals out there.
Heated front screen, especially in the winter.
Heated front seat, again good in the winter and very good if you have a bad back
Many of the improvements I would have liked when I bought mine they now do. This being for example MP3 and bluetooth facilities.

Out of the two recent cars I have had... This has been by far the best everyday option.
The 1.8 Petrol engine is a huge improvement over the 1.6. The handling is what you would expect from a Ford Focus; Stable, precise yet fun. The power is plenty-full for the size of vehicle and gives good satisfaction whilst accelerating.
The feeling inside the car is that of space and comfort, the downside being you feel quite small in the drivers seat. I'm 5'11" and I feel like a child sat in the drivers seat of my dad's old Talbot Samba.Saying this... the rear bench gives passengers bags of leg room and the boot is ridiculously big. This is the ideal "shopaholics" car.
In terms of size awareness it feels like a very large car which makes parking for those used to small cars difficult.
Driving through towns and cities you will always be stuck with the fear of "Oooo, nearly hit that kerb".
On the motorway however this car thrives. The 1.8 engine provides the power to hit 70mph before you get even close to the end of the slip road.
The biggest gripe... You'll be wishing you spent the extra money and bought a diesel!

* The alloy wheel effect steel wheels and trims (fools most people... even some owners!)
* The boot... It's like a van!
* The handling... It's a good 'ole Focus!
* The Ford stereo (who needs to upgrade that?)
* The leg room... Yes it's suitable for long legs!
* Make the diesel cheaper?
* Improve fuel economy
* Add a 6 speed option to lower spec models!
* Stop making cars bigger each time a new model is released... The new Fiesta is the same size as the old Focus!
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
