I've just bought this car to replace my old focus and at first wasn't too keen on the feel of it as it seemed a bit sluggish to take off but once it gets started its an excellent drive very smooth and takes corners like a dream. I love the new shape its a lot nicer than the old model and looks a lot more eye catching. I went for all the extras on mine audio navigation, 18" alloys, Metallic Paint (cherry red) and the self parking system which I have to admit is a total waste of time as it takes twice as long to get the system working proper than it would just parking it yourself so I'd advise anyone getting this car not to bother with it. All in all I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a good reliable car thats well made and is quiet and comfortable to drive.
The audio navigation system is a lot better than any satellite navigation system I've ever had its clear as a bell and the controls are very easy to use and understand. I'd rate them 10 out of 10 for that alone.
Get rid of the safety cameras on the front windscreen as they block your view especially when trying to pull out of tight corners which is a serious fault on a car if you intend to drive in the city as it totally blocks anything like bikes/motorbikes which may be coming towards you. I'd also get rid of half the buttons on the steering wheel there are just too many and most of them will never get used so they are just cluttering up the look of the car for no reason.

I recently purchased a ford focus on a 59 plate, the car is a lovelly looking car and drives really well, the ride is very smooth and feels like you are in a much larger car, when ever I approached traffic lights or junctions I couldnt hear the engine it was that quiet, only 2 faults with the car:
1) the slightest bit of ice or snow and the focus doesnt handle that good at all, each wheel spun indepentantly and my esp light kept flashing and making noises, id turn the esp off to try but still no grip wot so ever just keeps spinning, thats the only fault handling wise, the other fault is a common thing on the focus, my reverse light which is built into the bumper allways filled to the brim with water, im pretty sure this is not supposed to happen so i phoned ford and told them about the light filling with water when its wet, they replied to me, we no about this problem and its a very common thing with the focus, well if its a common thing with the focus why dont they do something about it, they make enough money so the should look more into the designs then maybe they would save money if they didnt have to keep booking these cars back into there garages to fix the problem, apart from the 2 things the car is one of the best i have owned over 25yrs
the style of the body is getting better and better every couple of years, they have started to place some really good looking alloy wheels onto there cars now and they do set the car off, the colour coded bumpers and wing mirrors look really stylish along with all the chrome which is all round the car
i think they should put a decent spare wheel in the boot instead of the biscuit they give you, they say dont go faster than 50 and not to be used more than 50 miles, well if you are in that predicament and you dont have the funds on you to goto a garage to replace the tyre and live further than 50miles away from where you change yor spare wheel i think you are in a bit of trouble, thats my only concern with the focus
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
