When first looking at getting a Ford Focus CC of course I googled it to read some reviews and opinions on it. One of the first sites that comes up is 'LeakyfocusCC' - which obviously makes you worry. Well, worry no more - Ford did have teething problems with the CC when it was first released, but this is no longer a problem. I have owned a 2009 CC 2 for almost a year now, and not once have I had any issues with it leaking.
The roof is removed with 1 easy button, and this folds into the boot and is so simple that you can do this whilst sat in the car. The roof doesn't take up the whole of the boot space, so there's still plenty of room for your shopping!
The car handles very well, and is very comfortable even at high speeds on the motorway. There's room in the back of the car for 2 passengers, but if the roof is up then its not really suitable for anyone over about 5' 2" as the roof is quite low.
Obviously the retractable roof, which makes you wish it was summer year round. Also, there is a handy heated windscreen feature which is a godsend on frosty mornings. There is an AUX input within the glove compartment which allows you to hook up your ipod to the stereo with minimal fuss. Also, there are 2 cigarette slots which is handy if you like to charge your phone/ipod in the car whilst your sat nav is plugged in. I had the optional rear sensors fitted which are very handy.
I would like to see the roof folded over into 3 compartments similar to the Peugot CC's so that the boot of the car is a little smaller. When the roof is up, the rear window has a poor view which can be difficult when reverse parking, so this could be improved. The car doesn't come with a spare tyre, though there is a tyre well & the puncture repair kit provided isn't very good so would like to see a return to all the cars being fitted with a space saver tyre.

This car is so enjoyable to drive and own. Get your Ford Focus Cabriolet out, when the sun shows and even with a bit of wind behind you - just go for it. With additional extras, like parking sensors, bluetooth and usb, the car comes into its own for style and comfort. You will find it s a fun car for 2 adults - but with the roof down, you can let nature come to you.
I love the ease of the roof, which you can lower and raise with one simple press of a button. There is loads of leg and head room for taller people, like us and handy compartments to store items. I have enjoyed listening to music via the USB and having many tracks hidden away in the glove compartment, ready to select from.
Perhaps the rear seats are lacking leg and head room, so inviting friends for a trip out is limited. Take short friends and leave the roof down, so summer trips only!
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
