I have had my Ford Galaxy TDI for 3 years now and I think it is absolutely great. Myself and partner have 5 children and we all fit in it great, no-one is squashed, it is spacious. It has started up every time first go, in the bad weather and the hot weather, we have never broken down in it. I love my car and I would buy a galaxy again.
My favourite features are that we are not squashed, I also like the way it has 2, 12 volt power sockets at the rear in the boot, these are great for the kids when there DS battery runs out.
I would suggest that the boot space could be doing with being a bit bigger, the speakers on the door panels to be in a different place as the childrens feet tend to hit them and they have broken the casing to them.

I love this car, it is lovely to drive and there is loads of space! I have had no problems yet and I have had it for 2 years. The kids and myself think it is really comfortable. I must admit I was a little scared of how big it was at first as I was used to small cars but once your behind the wheel it does not seem as big. I would reccomend the Galaxy to anyone.
I love the space as it fitted a double buggy in the boot no problem unlike other peole carriers. It is lovely to drive and in comfort.
I can't think of any improvements really, perhaps a more up to date radio as it had the same radio as my partners T reg car and mine is a 05.

In terms of a family vehicle, this beast is ideal - a seven seater and all back seats can be removed turning it into the perfect removals van. It's not wonderfully economic in terms of fuel consumption, being better suited for long distance driving than around town but you just can't beat the space in it!
My absolute favourite feature is the heated seats for driver and front passenger - most of my family don't like the experience (some have notably likened the feeling to wetting oneself), I just love a nice warm seat on a freezing cold UK day.
It's a well known fact that the electronics in the Galaxy range are difficult to deal with, meaning you should really only have a Ford specialist do services and any other required work - this, of course, does tend to push service prices up.

Received my black Galaxy Zetec new three years ago. Have found it a pleasure to drive, unlike other people carriers, this car drives like a normal family car, not heavy at all. The futuristic handbrake took a while to get used to but love it now. Plenty of storage and as back two seats can go down we have travelled to France with TV's, luggage and all sorts. Comfortable large seats fit adults as well as children and booster seats.
The blacked out back windows so kids don't complain of sun. Love all the hiding spaces, the drink holes in the back seats for when we order MacDonalds on the run, the pull down roof storage and when I use the mirror for make up a mini light goes on - easy to be pleased but it just seems a well thought out car for a family.
Black is not the best colour, its shows up all the dirt and scratches, would have chosen a different colour.

Almost up to 200k and still going strong, my Galaxy has just passed its mot with flying colours, used on a daily basis it has never let me down, considering the engine size its pretty good on fuel especially on motorway drives, ample size inside for passengers and a good size bootspace.
Comfortable seats, great heating, very spacious and the seats can be removed easily for an even larger carrying space.
Aircon needs regassing far too often, other than that I dont think theres anything else I could possibly want from my Galaxy!

The new shape Galaxy has been an excellent car over the last year, it is very spacious and a very comfortable ride. The new seating arrangement for the pull up type seats in the rear are much better than the old models where the rigid seats had to be removed and stored somewhere. The diesel engine is very nippy and is quiet at speed and the parking sensors come in very useful in such a big car. All in all I am very pleased with the car. The biggest downside is the average mpg which from the MPG logging system the car has averaged 32MPG over 12 months for a diesel which is no too good.
The roominess in the cab is certainly it's best feature against some of the other MPV's on the market. The music/phone system is a great standard. The bluetooth system to detect your mobile phone works well and using teo phones is no problem, The voice activation does work but after the initial fun is activating it, it just becomes a gimmic. There is a definite quality feel to the internal cab.
As with most cars there is never enough 12v sockets fitted, now more and more people use satnavs it would be nice to see 12v sockets in better locations, also with in-car dvd players etc. this is really missed. There are a number of auto type features which come as standard on other MPV's such as automatic wipers, lights etc. these are not standard on the Galaxy and would be nice to see

A lot smoother and faster than previous model, great on fuel and I am loving the panoramic roof. It took some time for us to gell though having owned the previous model from new for 8 years and are now enjoying the new driving position. Cruise control and multifunction steering wheel auto lights and windscreen wipers are a waste of time I just turn them on when needed. Not sure on the handbrake lever, thinking I should have had electronic handbrake and fold in mirrors. The Ford roof rack is as far as I am concerned a spoiler, used it twice for carrying cases and it was a struggle moving the rack and nowhere to attach the securing straps. Rear seats are rather heavy to fold up and down so we leave the rear most ones down. NO SPARE WHEEL NOT EVEN AN OPTION
Panoramic roof, fuel computer and cruise control. Sporty driving position with slighty aggressive looks in comparison to previous model.
Spare wheel as option, sliding rear doors, electric tailgate opening electronic handbrake as standard, four wheel drive option on bigger engine models and air suspension.
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
