Excellent traction in snow and muddy conditions, although the abs breaks kick in unecessarily. Great for getting in the front but getting in the back is a struggle, a ladder would be a great help. With the engine being a 2.4 I would expect a little more uummph, but 0-60 is very slow. There appears to be an issue with the front wings rusting, whenever I see another Maverick they appear to have rust spots in the same spots as mine, and finding relacement wings is a nightmare, I am still looking. Fuel running costs are quite high, but expected due to the engine size. Other reviews state the comfort factor is not great but I found it fine, and no complaints from passengers.
Favourite features include the sporty look of the exterior compared to some 4x4's that look like they belong on Emmerdale. The electric sunroof is great which makes the car feel more on road than off road.
Improvements needed to help stop the rust from appearing on the wings and the addition of door a step would enable easier boarding into the back passenger seats.
