Hyundai i20 Reviews

Hyundai i20

There's a new car in town - the Hyundai i20. Buzzing with fresh ideas and smart solutions, it's sharp and stylish on the outside and packs more interior space than should be possible in a supermini.

Review

I am very much satisfied with this car. Everything ranging from the quality of interiors, the ride quality, the mileage, features etc. are fine and this is undoubtedly a great car to drive. Interior leg room is just normal. But for this price range, I would definitely recommend this car to friends and family.

Favourite Features

The Air Conditioner/Heater work amazingly well. The car heats up very fastly. All the instruments are easy to use and understand.

Suggested Improvements

Maybe a bigger fuel tank will help. But that is not a major problem. No other improvement in any terms required according to me.

HYUNDAI I20

Review

HYUNDAI i20 indeed a very nice and comfortable car. It contains all the necessary features which makes it a luxurious car even for a middle class family. Power windows, Power steering, nice Air Conditioning system which cools the car very fast. It has got a decent fuel economy.

Favourite Features

POWER STEERING. You can move the car so easily even through the heaviest of the traffics easily. STRONG HEATER It has got a very strog heater which is very helpful in chilling winters

Suggested Improvements

Some more effort can be poured to improve the outer looks of the car. And I feel that its fuel tank should have more capacity for long journeys and some other technological improvements can be done to increase the fuel economy..

My Car

Review

My little car is red. A very nice drive with power steering, the heating system is fantastic better than my home, heats up real quick. Its as standard. The steering wheel adjusts which is helpful when you are long bodied like myself. Windows electric. You can only open the fuel cap from inside car. It had only done 8400 miles, about average on petrol. Big boot space. Very quiet engine. The seats adjust in three different ways with extra back support.

Favourite Features

Power steering and heating system. Mine is a 5 door hatch.

Suggested Improvements

Factory fitted sunroof. Backseats that will accomodate kids booster seats. This car was not designed with people with small kids in mind.

Steady

What can I say, cheap & easy to run. I've had the car for over 1 year now & I've not had any problems, I'm doing a 100 mile round trip to work every day & my car sailed through it's MOT. All I need was a new bulb. I would recommend this car to eveyone.

Favourite Features

Heater - it heats up pretty fast which is a joy on these cold winter mornings, there's nothing worse than sitting in a cold car for 10/15 mins before it starts to heat up.

Suggested Improvements

A larger fuel tank - I find it a bit small, a slightly larger tank would make long journey easier. I find that I'm needing to fill up a couple of times a week due to the mileage I do.

My i20

Review by Stephen Thorpe on 6/12/2009

Review

This is my first brand new car purchase - i traded in my old Polo under the scrappage scheme. So for £7000 after discounts (I took the option of metallic paint and upgrade to a comfort model)what have I got? I've got a car with so many specs that would be extras on other makes of car which make it fantastic value.

Car has 6 air bags and is highly rated in collision tests. Drive is very good, a little on the firm side but this means it sticks like glue to the road. Despite only being a 1.2 its nippy but is fine on motorways comparable to my 1.4 Polo. Plenty of room inside, a decent boot, back seats fold easily.
All instruments clear and controls easy to use.

Favourite Features

Fantastic list of features that come as standard:
- Air con
- Trip/fuel computer (I keep it on the real time mpg)
- Electric heated, adjusted and folding wing mirrors
- Adjustable seat height
- 6 air bags
- Variable speed intermitent wipers
- Antilock brakes
- Switchable ESP (electronic stability program)
- Great Music system with ipod attachment and usb dock(i just put a stick with mp3s in and it plays brillianty displaying track info on the center pod)
- Alloy wheels
- Remote central locking.

Suggested Improvements

There is not much I would improve - a few niggles.
The front seat belts tend to twist so dont recoil the last couple of inches. The back seat hinges could have a little cover on them as look a bit raw.
Indicators dont cancel sometimes when indicating off roundabout! These could be just my bad habits.

Car Leasing vs Buying
