When I was looking for a car I went to my local Kia garage and took the ceed out for a test drive, feel in love with it straight away. I owned an Astra before which was like driving a biscuit tin, I find the ceed a nippy little car and drives so smooth, you actually feel safe in it which is what I liked, its very comfortable and steers well. Its a nice looking car and I have had lots of comments from people about that, I have even managed to get two friends to buy one I was that impressed with the ceed.
Good stereo, comfortable seats, surprisingly large when you drop the back seats managed to fit a double bed into it, good choice of colours and the 7 year deal is fab too.
Boot is tiny, the back window is far to small to see when your trying to reverse and the two cup holders in the front are impossible to clean if you get any crumbs or dirt in them. Oh and it wheel spins far to easy.

I took a long time before I selected which car I would buy after I sold my Ford Focus. The Focus had given me two hefty repair bills within 6 months of the end of the warranty. The servo had cut off the engine when doing 70 mph on the motorway, frightening!! The track rod suspension also collapsed. Not a good recommendation for a Focus after 60k miles! Ford eventually reduced their charges by 33%. Still a lot. It was a car, despite their claims, that was not good for mpg. 36 miles for a gallon of petrol was the average.
After a lot of researching (I depend a great deal on reviews) and test driving. I was undecided between Kia Ceed, Mazda 3, Golf and a Hyundai. The fuel consumption, 7 year warranty, price of nearly new and good reports made me choose a Kia Ceed. I have not been disappointed. I get about 50 mpg on my tank of diesel and it is pleasant to drive. Crucially my wife prefers to drive compared to the Focus.
Put on reversing sensors. So useful. A very pleasing area of space in the boot, my golf bag now fit across the back. Like other cars the extra space when the rear seats are folded is huge. I like the simple fuel realese lever by the drivers seat.
Two trip counters on the dash are useful for mileage checks as well. The car is as pleasant as any of its competitors to drive. Smooth on corners and on the highway.
The heating controls and demisters are difficult to work out. Demisters do not seem to be that effective.

IVE BEEN DRIVING A FACELIFTED 2009 MY KIA CEED 1.6 DIESEL ECODYNAMICS FOR THE PAST TWO MONTHS. WHAT CAN I SAY I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE VEHICLE, VERY REFINED, GREAT LOOING, SPECIFICATION OTHER MARQUES CHARGE AS EXTRAS FOR, AND BEST OF ALL A SEVEN YEAR FULL BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. SALES AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT EXCELLENT!!
EXCELLENT FUEL ECONOMY, GREAT STANDARD EQUIPTMENT, BLUETOOTH PHONE KIT, 7 YEAR WRRANTY COMPREHENSIVE, PRICE POINT ALL OTHER MANUFACTURERS SHOULD FOLLOW!!!
PERHAPS COULD DO WITH A FEW MORE COLOUR OPTIONS FOR EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR FABRIC A BUT DULL. PRIVACY GLASS ON REAR WINDOWS WOULD BE NICE.

Had the car for 5 weeks now and really couldn't be happier. This is a whole lot of car for the money particularly, if like me, you take advantage of the government scrappage scheme. I did a lot of web based research before I decided to go with a Kia and I haven't been disappointed. I was looking at getting a small car and had made my mind up on a Kia Rio but when I went along to the showroom I was shown the Cee'd and the incredible offer that was available and it was a no-brainer. The on the road price was £7,995 (including both scrappage and Kia allowances) and the 7 year full warranty on both parts and labour was simply too good to refuse. I would thoroughly recommend this model to anybody!
I'm still getting used to all the features because it's still so relatively new but I've now driven getting on for 1,000 miles and I love it. It holds the road like a train and the steering wheel based audio controls are so cool. The boot is very roomy and the in car drinks holders are particularly useful.
This is difficult because I am so pleased with the car but if I was being picky I would like the rear windows to be electric and maybe they could include some pouches on the backs of the front seats for storage for the rear seat passengers. Now that is picky I know but it's all I could think of!
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
