A180 1.7 Classic Se Auto
Drove this so called classic car back in 2006 and I really hated owning the car. It was such a pain to drive because the car was just about faulty in every department you could think off. The car was very cheap to insure and also for petrol costs it seemed to be cheap.
The mega fault with the car I experienced was the gear box! It hardly used to work proper driving on the motorways and with the gear box messing up was not good. I used to change the gear box to gear number 5 but somehow it used to always end up on number 3.
Had this problem repaired twice but it never got sorted out and this was a huge issue with the car for me. The other problems I had with the car was a messed engine that hardly used to ever work. The car was just not reliable enough and if you left the battery on for 2 minutes or more expect the engine to mess up!
I remember leaving my car battery on and for two days after the car never worked. I only left the battery on for just 5 minutes and look at the disaster that happened. The car was just never reliable at all for me!
There was no favourite features for me when driving this car because everything was just wrong. The car used to break down all the time with problems always. There was not a single month where they had never been a issue with the new car.
They say this car is a classic one I now understand why! This classic car is just full of problems. The one good advantage the car had was on petrol it was cheap, it actually did not take much petrol even though it was 1.6 so that is the only thing I did like about the car.
How about the engine, battery and the gear box of the car being sorted out? Them three problems caused me so much hassle and time I had so much difficult problems with those 3 factors of the car. If the car battery, engine and gear box were much better this car would have stayed with me for much longer.
My word of advice is do not get this car as it will give you problems. It will give you trouble like it has to me and my friends who owned the car in the past to.
