I'm sad I let it go

Review

The 2nd best car I have ever had (after the Nissan 200SX). Having driven this vehicle for three years I fell in love with everything it had to offer. A sporty drive with a comfortable ride. Looks that made heads turn. Luxury and class. It seated four people very comfortably with plenty of room for the rear seat passengers. Pricey - but worth every penny.

Favourite Features

Designed to look like a shark it was sporty yet elegant. Quick off the mark without compromising comfort. Fuel efficiency around 40mpg at 79mph on the motorway.

Suggested Improvements

A fifth seat option would have ensured I bought another one. The TMC (traffic alert) function on the Sat Nav is absolutely useless.

Wonderful Car

Review

The car is very fast and smooth as expected with a Mercedes CLS. The CLS model seems to be at the top of the Mercedes class and for that reason many do see you go by. Simple reason its very flashy and grabs everyones attention.

The economy of the car is very good 40mpg average especially when considering that is weighs quite abit and its performance is more than enough here in UK. A similar CLS petrol model would cost you more in fuel but the cost of buying a diesel is just slightly more.

Servicing costs alot at the dealers but an independant garage which you know may be able to do it cheaper. Replacement parts are expensive as expected due to the brand name. Sometimes it makes you think if its worth it as it isnt as reliable as a Toyota or a VW. Even though its a Ggerman, its made for those who dont take notice with a repair which can turn into quite a huge sum. The first service would probably cost you around £500 depending on which dealer.

Depreciation is not good for those buying new however if you've got the cash then flaunt with it. A tuning box can help this car to be transformed into a powerful beast. It just pulls you back because of the Torque available.

Favourite Features

Performance is right at the top. Also the car is extremely flashy so its possible to grab everyones attention. Its a smooth car which has a completely different design to the usual Mercedes.

The economy is very good considering how much it weights. 40MPG average mixed town and motorway driving. It can overtake many standard cars and the usual chavs automobile which may seem to be kitted.

The car has enough interior space and big enough boot to place a pram if needed. The updated facelift just looks exceptionally great and its been given a updated engine with tighter emissions and better mpg. It competes with other major premium car makers.

Suggested Improvements

The car is let down due to the 4 seats available and if another person would like to come along its a definate no no as it has a centre console piece right in the middle. It has some great character however Mercedes could make this car into a perfect car by creating a fifth seat. This will make this car sell much more.

The weight of the car is quite high so if Mercedes was thinking of an improvement they should try and shed some of the weight like its competitors ie BMW. It cannot compete with the BMW's current performance 0-60, MPG and emissions which makes this car look worse on paper.

Car Leasing vs Buying

Car Leasing Video DemoThere are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.

Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
