Love my car

This car has got class. It purrs and drives so beautifully, turning heads wherever it goes. It it easy to park, holds the road well at speed and has a big enough boot for all my designer shopping bags. The metal automatic sunroof is the real surprise. When its down the car still looks cool and sexy, when its up there are no leaks or rattles.
This car is an absolute babe - maybe thats why my husband is always trying to drive it !!!!!!

Favourite Features

Metal sunroof - now you see it, now you don't.
Build quality - sexy lines but with safety as standard. Good fuel economy - for such a sporty car, allowing you to cruise around a lot, looking good.

Suggested Improvements

Lots more colours as standard. Nothing else to change, its good looks and great performance are more than enough to please.

My Mercedes Baby Car

Review by Bob Smith on 27/4/2010

Review

Well it is silver and shiny and sporty and a bit of a hairdressers car, but when I saw it in the showroom all shiny and with the roof down and the red leather, I rather felt I should look further
so I did. I took it for a drive and well it went fast, very fast for me, a bit bumpy with the low profile tyres on big alloys but yes it put a smile on my face and so after some minor haggling, I bought it. My son loves daddy's baby car as opposed to the big car (a Discovery which he likes too)
but the Merc a 230 slk auto under 60,000 when I got her in dec 2008 and spotless. I have done a few miles now and had some new tyres put on it which were a tad dear even trawling the internet,
still you cant run a 150 mph sports car on rubbish rubber unless you want to fall off the road at some point. So there you have it, fun and sporty not too dear and quick and the roof is great.

Favourite Features

As above, that roof is great. People's faces when you can put it down at lights are a picture and the interior is lovely all red and black leather with the engine turned effect too. There are some useful cubby holes and cargo nets and stuff for putting things in and is very cosy and snug in there too. The acceleration impressed me, 0-60 in about 7 seconds is good enough and 150 mph is fairly good too not that I have got to that speed obviously there are cameras you know. So fast and fun and that roof - did I mention that?

Suggested Improvements

Well it is a bit of a hard ride and with the low profile tyres and big alloys this is not improved greatly so some slightly softer suspension might be nice. The roof (as much as I like it) is a bit of a bother when it is down as it takes up most of the boot so a weekend away will be spare undies for both of you and not a lot else cos once the roof is down that is about your limit. Obviously if you can guarantee the weather and risk it you could get some golf bats and a holdall in there but if it rains you are wet unless you squash the holdall a bit and bin the golf bats but I dont know how you would make the roof smaller or the boot bigger and to make it a rag top would ruin it so there it is.

I love my Baby-Benz

Review

I had wanted one of these for ages and actually bought it before I had even sat in one! (Bought 2nd hand).

I love the auto gearbox - had previously only driven manual - now I'm too lazy to change gear and it's great when you're stuck in traffic

I have even converted my Dad who wanted me to get another BMW. In fact the whole family submit constant request to borrow it (especially in the summer).

I did have a problem with the convertible roof early in the summer but the Mercedes dealership dealt with this quickly and efficiently.

Favourite Features

Stylish, compact, smooth. This car always attracts comments (positive ones!) It's a pleasure to drive.
Not as hard on fuel as you'd think.

Suggested Improvements

When I had a problem with the roof I was told that this is common in older models and I should open it regularly even in the winter!!

Service from my local Mercedes dealership was excellent but not cheap!
