5DR HAT 1.6 VISIA
I've only had this for a month after 5 years driving a Vauxhall Meriva. It looks a bigger car than it actually is but well pleased so far. Smooth to drive with excellent visibility and a good level of equipment. Fuel consumption (petrol) is keeping at 37 mpg according to the built in trip computer. Carrying capacity is good with a surprisingly large boot. Passengers say it's comfortable in the back.
Like the look of the car. Visibility is so much better than my previous car. Seat adjustment is good particularly heightwise (handy for my wife who's short). Gear change is short and effective. Putting the back seats down is done in seconds and there was more than enough room then to load a sideboard
Picky but the interior door handles in the front seats are set too far forward meaning when you open the doors when it's windy they are difficult to control. There are controls set in the steering wheel to adjust the audio volume but they are more difficult to find and operate then the traditional "knob" on the radio.

Lovely car to drive. The seats are very comfy and 'hug' you, giving a good feeling of security. The all-round appearance is that of a 4WD off-roader but is smooth and easy to drive. I have got the 2WD 1.6 Acenta. It has a high driving stance that means you get a good view of the road. Dials are easy to read. Solid fell all round. Has switches on the steering wheel so you dont have to fiddle with the radio or your mobile, if you have bluetooth. The wing mirrors fold in at the flick of a switch.
I normally top up with about £25 unleaded which fills her up to half way. This lasts me about 2 weeks, driving on average about 15 miles a day. I got a sunroof as an extra when I was buying the car and it is great to have if you do touring as we do. Probably not an essential if you don't tour. The car has driven round many a tight Devon and Cornwall lane; it is good at coping with slippery surfaces as it comes equipped with something called ESP which turns the car into a 4WD and gets you out of mud easily. The interior is nice and roomy; no-one has ever complained of having cramped legs in the back (teenage boys, long legs, need I say more!). Boot is surprisingly spacious too, split seats 60/40 is also very good. It has a reversing beeper which is a real godsend.
The car has been totally reliable. I have had absolutely no cause to complain and would highly recommend this car to just about anyone. It is particularly good if you find it hard to sit down in a regular car. This one is high off the ground and you almost have to climb up into it.
Reversing beeper, electric windows, auto wipers, spacious passenger cabin, ESP, cruise control, adjustable seats (they can be moved back and forth as normal but also up and down so that tall people can be accommodated). I love the foldback wing mirrors, they have been fantastic when you are driving down some of the single track lanes in Devon.
I wish the hand brake was in a slightly more accessible place if like me you have seat pushed right the way forward. It is awkward to reach. My partner doesn't have this problem though as he is tall and has the seat back further.

I was on the lookout for a car for our growing family that was big enough for a car seat and a dog but not too big. We also wanted something economical and good looking. The Qashqai is all of these and more. Its 1.6 engine is nippy enough for around town and decent on the motorway but not a juice gobbler. It has very good tyres nice soundng exhaust note and the seats are really comfy. The brakes are keen and also its a very safe car.
The 1.6 engine is the perfect combination of economy and performance. The ride quality is excellent and the CD player is very good also. Its also very good looking I always get comments on how good looking of a car for what it is. A lot better than its class rivals.
Could do with a wider range of engines. The sat nav option is expensive. Other than that I really dont know what else to put. Sometimes the wife says its slow at accelarating but i think its just fine as we dont need a race car...

Great car, very comfy, sat nav a blessing, only thing makes a bit of noise when traveling on open roads. It holds the road very well, fuel consumption is good as is the mp3 system. Space is big enough for a family of four.
Sat nav, panoramic view, alloy wheels are 18inch and very smart for free but now you have to pay for them. Also like the seat as they lie right back.
Bit more space as can be very tight when 5 people in it. Also all the window could be one touch, as for the trims they could be protected a bit more for when people getting in and out they get scratched easily.

This is a great, family car, plenty of space front and rear, reverse parking sensor, good height. Has a MP3 connecter, 6 cd changer, comfortable armrest inbetween seats, plenty of room for storage, even more when seats are down. Cup holders in rear armrest, pockets on back of seat, very roomy and great pleasure to drive.
I love the Qashqai because its a decent height, it has reverse parking sensors and good all round vision. Can have a selection of my favourite cds or plug in my mp3 player and listen to all my latest tracks.
There's not many things I can find fault with on this car, maybe the boot could open further, I have bumped my head a couple of times. Air conditioning could be cooler during the summer, not as cool as previous car.

I love my Nissan Qashqai as its so spacious inside and looks fantastic on the outside. Its the first time I have owned a car of this size and I don't think I could go back to a smaller car having owned 2 Qashqai's. Find the fuel consumption to be good especially while driving longer distances.
- Privacy Glass in rear
- Leather interior
- Panoramic Roof
- CD changer
- Heated seats
- Driving position
- Alloy wheels
- Heating could be better, takes too long to heat up.
- My demister does not clear my rear view window quick, takes too long.
- Front centre arm rest could come forward further.

Since getting this car (replaced a Nissan Almera) we have not had any problems at all we just had our first MOT and it easily passed and now it has 40k miles you would think something may need doing. I can't sing this cars praises enough its competant on the road, fast enough. Great value for money and looks quite nice.
Looks, enough space for a family of four, comfortable on long journeys, low maintenance costs and fantastic Nissan engineering and build quality.
Overtaking is not as easy as I would personally like however it works fine on the motorways, my only real grumble is the amount of boot space, but given the fantastic value for money it is not a huge issue.
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
