I have had this car for approx one and a half years now & so far it has been the perfect family car for me - as a single mother & my two children aged 3 & 5 year old. I have not had to have anything really done apart from new break pads last month, apart from that it has flown through the mot each time!! It is not a huge car - but there is plenty of space for my two boys and all the necessary stuff that we carry around with us on a daily basis. It has a large boot and it can fit two push chairs in it with no problem (when I needed two that is) and also I have fitted two push chairs and a spare car seat in there before now! I have not as yet - had any problems with the engine, and I have been told by many people over the past year that the parts for these cars are easy to come by anyway and do not cost that much. I drove to Ipswich last month which is over 4 hours driving and the car was perfect. It did not over heat or play up once, which I was very happy about as I had the children with me.
My favourite features is probably the amount of space that the car has for such a small car, it does not look like it has that much space from the outside. Also as I have previously mentioned the boot has lots and lots of space is a good feature in the car as you can fit all sorts in there and when you are having to travel around daily with small children with you then you tend to need as much space as humanly possible!! I like the look of the car, its not a new model, but i believe that it looks very modern and the shape is very nice, its definitely not an ugly car but one for a person just like me ...
I am not sure what I would suggest if iI had to suggest improvements for this car. Of course every thing can be better so iI would think that the car could be a bit more sturdier at times it feels a bit light?? My boyfriend has driven my car many, many times and he is a lot bigger than I am. Every time he comes out the always comments that the foot peddles are very close together. He has quite big feet - a size 10 I believe and he finds that there very close together for him, also the head room for him as he is tall he has to bend over a bit to get in. Neither of these are a problem for me as I am some what smaller & therefore do not share these views.

Wonderful car, comfortable to sit in and drive both long and short distances. Both back and front seats and comfortable. Large sunroof helping circulate air on a warm day. Easy to maintain and reasonable cost to run and unsure. Striking shape and colours make the ar stand out and look stylish. Suitable for both sexes. Excellent exceleration and handling both with only a driver and with 4 passengers.
All levers are at an easy to reach distance. Very comfortable pedal to chair to steering wheel ratio.
To come with a CD player instead of a tap desk. An extra shelf under the passanger dash board. Additional cup holders in the center of the car.

I normally go for much bigger, pokier cars, like a bonnet in front of me and power under foot so I was a little wary of buying my car. Ok the bonnet isn't as long as I'd like but for a 1.4 petrol engine this is a nice pokey little car to drive. All the mod cons too and so very comfortable. Smooth runnig, small enough to park on a postage stamp, handles fantastically and a great car to pose in, a real head turner!
Fantastic dashboard, every light so clearly indicated with nothing to confuse us gals. Great to have clock in the centre of the dash. Not a bad stereo for a peugeot standard, pretty loud, pretty clear. Locking is very quiet. Massive headlights to illuminate even the darkest corners!
The stereo volume jumps around a bit on extremely bumpy surfaces but then so don't we all. Engine is built in such a way the slightest thing wrong it pretty much turns the engine off which is great to prevent further damage though not always welcome miles from home, and is built in such a way it rarely can be repaired by breakdown and has to go in for 'dealership repair' nice profit move there Peugeot!

We have owned this Peugeot 207 GT HDi for just over a year now and done around 20k in it (was 2 1/2 years old when we got it) and on the whole we are very pleased with it. There are of course good and bad points. It is very economical - giving an average of around 55mpg which is great when fuel costs so much. It looks good and the engine is very responsive, pulls well from low revs with just a hint of turbo lag. It does feel somewhat fragile at times though. When the fuel level dropped to the reserve mark, the car gave an error code of 'de-pollution system fault' which required a trip to the dealers (still under warranty) and around £300 worth of work to replace the fuel pump. The paint is thin and chips/scrapes easily. The interior is pretty nice and well arranged but the cup holders are next to useless - placed under the armrests in the centre console it is very hard to get any sort of cup in or out!
The fuel consumption. Even with 'spirited' driving, it will do around 50mpg, which is great. The grip levels and handling is fantastic. The fitted sound system is good, but has no ipod in (extra cost)
The drivers seat is very uncomfortable for trips of over an hour - no lumber support or adjustment = aching back which cannot be cured no matter how you have the seat positioned - I had to invest in a back cushion! The cup holders are rubbish. Tyres last around 12000 which I am told is average, but seems heavy to me (particularly on the front).

It's smart, nippy, comfy, is quite chic with an attractive 'face' (a lovely car for a lady - yet not TOO 'feminine' for a bloke, my husband looks fine behind the wheel!). Doesn't take up too much space on the road and so is very easy to manouvre; a GREAT little car for a relatively new driver! Starting off with the Peugeot has given me the confidence to try larger vehicles (I recently hired a Chevrolet). It has NEVER let me down, I honestly think that I'd choose a Peugeot next time - most likely a 307!!
It's headlights - sorta 'cat-like' shaped - very attractive. The whole body shape of the car is quite sleek and smart.
Different seat adjustment handles - when they're touched, the seats spring forward with VERY sudden gusto - it makes people 'jump'. Also, even though I've had the brakes checked several times, they're not as 'keen' as those of other cars I've driven, my mechanic said that they're fine and 'normal' for a Peugeot. Finally, I think I'd really appreciate comfier seats, perhaps a bit more 'padded and squelchy' - the material isn't particularly appealing to look at or to the touch.

Very good car, cheap on petrol and no problems so far and had car for a few years now. Ggoes well on petrol, on average I spend around £10 a week and travel around 30 miles. Interior is smart and cosy. Exterior looks great and shiny. I've had no problems with the car so far and it drives like a dream.
CD player and surround sound system are great. Speakers are clear and crisp and give off a smooth sound. The cars standard speakers can go quite loud without any bad effect to the sound.
More leg room in the back seats. Indicator leavers are a little stiff and aren't as smooth to flick up and down as compared to other cars.

The 207 is a stylish and practical car to drive. I have owned this car for about 2 years, bought 2nd hand and there have been a few problems with it like the breaks squeeking, had new discs and pads fitted during my MOT and service but its still really noisey. There is now a squeeking noise from the shocks. Overall its a very good reliable car, if you want an good car overall get one as its cheap to buy compaired to other competitors and also fairly well speced and the insurence is cheap.
When I got the car it was just over 2 years old, what I like is the service intervals of 2 years or 20k miles which I feel is brilliant.
Overall this car is very cheap to run and also good to drive. Try before you buy another car and yes it is expensive to buy but is worth it.
The sleek cat-like design that accompanies all Peugeot cars especially the headlights. The driving position is good, particularly because the seat and wheel adjust every-which-way. The wheel, gears and pedals are sensibly weighted and easy, making it fine to drive. And that low-revving diesel suits the car to a T, serving up more than ample power, while promising up to 64.1mpg overall. It adds £1000 to the car’s price over the 1.4 petrol that closest to it in power and verve but we think it’s worth it – if only because it makes for such a pleasant drive.
Wind noise is reasonable at motorway speeds, and the diesel settles to a muted hum. The 207, meanwhile, rides easily at speeds and smothers bumps admirably. In town, and at lower speeds it feels stiffer, so that thumps from severe road craters will feed through to the cabin.
And while the steering and throttle responses aren’t up there with such rivals as Vauxhall’s Corsa or the Ford Fiesta’s for response or accuracy, they’re good enough.
The changing of the gears could be smoother. The gearbox, distinctive frontal styling and some questionable interior plastics. The over sensitive brakes and shock absorbers.

I have a blue Peugeot 207 and love it. I am not a fan of big cars, hence why this car is the perfect size for me. I have a child and I can fit a buggie and a stroller in the boot. There is plenty of room in the back for my daughter and her feet. There is a cigarette lighter for you to plug your sat nav or portable dvd player into. I have had no problems what so ever with this car or the peugeot I had before this car. I like how you can move the vents where the air comes out of to blow on your hands in winter. The air con is great if you have kids, I got my 207 as it had air con in it as I was expecting a baby and didnt want her to over heat in the summer with out air con. Even with a buggie I find that I can fit everything in the boot that I need to. Even with two children in the back its perfectly fine (when we go out with my friend and her little girl). This is a great car for someone who isnt keen on big cars but wants a car with space inside or if you have a child and need that little bit more room than some smaller cars. This car also doesnt drink fuel and I think its fuel efficient.
Heating system - there is no climate control so you can have it hot one min and slightly cooler the next with out cold air blowing at you as climate control does (my husband has it in his car and I hate it when I drive it).
Easy to drive - I find this car very easy to drive and tought my sister to drive in it.
More than one cigarette lighter point so that you can plug the sat nav in at the same time as having the portable dvd player plugged in. If I dont know where I am going but its a long journey I have to try to remember to charge the sat nav up before we go otherwise sat nav wins over the dvd player which my daughter doesnt always like.

This one of the best cars Peugeot has made; The beauty of this car is its true power. To start with, the exterior design is very Peugeot-ish like which makes it very original and stylish. As for the interior design, it is quite comfortable (especially for the back seats) and beautiful (practical -classical- dashboard and comfortable wheel). However, performances are quite poor in this car; the engine is standard and is not special in any sort. Nevertheless, driving this car is very fun as it offers the best comfort you can get from Peugeot ;)
Comfort: Comfortable seats and nice driving style.
Design: exterior and interior design are very original and... beautiful !
Better performances: More powerful engine, better driving quality and most importantly a lower price!

This was my car for over 5 years and I can only say how much I miss it now! This car for any one likes a stylish car with the nice funky designs with the interior would love. The way the car is made is wonderful, the shape of the car is very nice looking so you would like it a lot.
The interior of the car is also perfect with nice seats. A CD player built in the car, heating and air conditioning that work very well are put in the car to. The steering wheel is very smooth making it very easy on the road for you.
The speed of the car is wonderful when hitting the gas button more it never went over the limit for me at all. The car also had a strong engine which in the cold weather never used to stop working.
The car could also run in the bad weather thanks to its strong brakes. I had some fantastic 5 years driving this car because it was just excellent to run on the road with no problems hardly at all.
One cold December most of the cars on my street were not starting up. I though my car would not but it was actually very reliable for me. The car started up and also it also got warm very fast. I believe the manufacturer's have done a good job on the car is the reason for that.
Something else I liked about the car is the way the steering, the brakes work well. They are made so well that you have no problems at all on the road!
Improvements? To be honest this car was fantastic but lets see how it could have been better. A new better CD Player I think, more design from the interior would have made it perfect. I think the fog lights were a little less strong than what they should have been like.
The fog lights were a slight issue it all depends on your eye sight really. I guess my eye sight is a little weak but I still think it could have been a little stronger.
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
