4DR 2.0 HDi 140 SR CONNECTNAV
My car is very eco friendly and has auto switch off and economy mode active as soon as it is left 'ON' for more than 10 minutes. It has brilliant features like electric rear door, child safety locks and also has front and rear seatbelts fastening indicator lights.
I love the car features such as back reverse where it tells me when to stop when it has gone too close to the wall etc.
I would love my car to be more cool in summer by making the top of the car more eco-friendly and having a automatic gear box to make it run more smoothly on the road.
4DR 2.2 HDi 170 SPORT
The 407 is not a car to buy if you are looking for something sporty, but for everyday driving and especially A-road and Motorway cruising there isn't a better car for the money. An excellent engine gives plenty of effortless performance and returns excellent fuel consumption. The ride and noise levels are superb. Plenty of space for all and a good size boot ensures the car is practical as well. The well equipped car provides plenty of features to aid the comfort & refinement and a great CD system completes the package. A great car for 99% of all the driving I do, can live without it being great for the 1% of times when you wish to drive in a more sporting manor!
Long Distance Cruising, Good CD System, Great Engine mix of Performance & Economy. Really like the looks and stands out from the rest of the family saloons on the market. So far very reliable and excellent dealer service.
Fiddly Dash Layout with Excess of Buttons, Build Quality & Feel of Materials could be improved. Large overhangs can make parking a bit difficult.
4DR 1.6 HDi 110 S
First impressions were good. Smooth drive and very comfortable. You soon realise the more noticeable downsides to the 407 driving experience. The gears can be sticky, the clutch rigid and can very easily stall when moving off due to low RPM, you really need to put build that RPM before moving away, very frustrating at roundabouts or junctions.
Good points, classy stylish car in my opinion, very sexy design, extremely comfortable with a plethora of panel buttons to play with!
Make the gearshift more fluid. Hotter airflow from the dash vents. Increase RPM reaction to avoid stalling.
4DR 2.0 SPORT BIOFLEX
Well this now my 7th Peugeot and so far the best model they have produced to date, with its sleek body design fantastic modern feel inside interior. The central command centre from the touch of the radio section which also doubles as the cars brains - I love my car.
The favourite features for me are the 18 inch alloys wheels, the folding door mirrors when you lock the car, the panic button where you can lock yourself in if need be, the dim down rear view mirror to stop glaring headlights at night. Also having the dash dials in white effect in the day and black at night time this is a must have car.
Be nice to see a pull out laptop cable with built in wifi system introduced into there cars, built in speed camera and central dial in arm rest to control some of the cars funtions.
4DR 1.6 HDi 110 SPORT
Had moved away from Peugeot for a few years. Bought the 407 if I am honest because I got a great deal on it - but I have found it to be a wonderful car. Spacious, comfortable, reliable and economical. Great family car - but still drives nicely and has a good turn of speed when required. Really could not ask for much more (except perhaps for a rear windscreen wiper - why would you sell a car in the UK with no rear wiper??!).
407 is a comfortable, spacious and reliable family car - yet it's still really good to drive, handles well, accelarates well when required. Economical - a bonus with current fuel prices - and well built.
Rear windscreen wiper - a must for any car sold in the UK. Child locking of rear doors has to be reset on a regular basis - should be able to set and then forget.
