Well this is my 3rd Clio in a row first one I sold to upgrade to a newer model, and then that one was stolen so I upgraded to this. Wouldn't be without it, it has never let me down, comfortable to drive, nippy little thing. I love this car and would definaltely recommend a Renault, next car a megane.
Its nippy as anything, hasn't broken down, gear change is smooth, brakes work well, car responds as I would expect. Looks good, feels good, what's not to like?
Fuel consumption (although just bringing the fuel costs down to something realistic would be a start). Maybe a new sportier look for the next one.

Great car, very nippy and good around the town. Immobilisator is useless and I would recommend bypassing it. Easy to modify and good first car. Engine quality isnt great as wont go too far over 80k without major problems, in comparison to Landrover or Audi engines which go way over 120k
Speed and performance due to the weight and the looks of the car. Great gearbox in comparison to other similar models of Peugeots.
Sound of the car could be a little more aggressive and poor immobiliser which causes great problems. Also issues with roof lining.

I have a red 55 Clio, and have had it for around a year and a half. I've never had any major problems with it, or any breakdowns. It is not difficult to drive. The only problem I've encountered is the rear brake discs often stick of a morning, particularly if the car hasn't been used in a while. It quickly unsticks, though this is quite annoying at times.
I like having both A/C and a sunroof. It is a smooth drive and a reasonably comfortable interior. The boot is spacious for a car it's size, as is the back of the car.
The sunroof open fully rather than just propping it open - the sunroof creaks/rattles a lot as it is.

I bought this car about 4 years ago & it was the best buy I've made. It has a sporty shape & interior, is very economic fuel wise & is only £35 per year road tax. I would recommend one to anyone, no questions.
My silver seat belts have to be my favourite feature, they match interior and are different from the usual black seatbelt of most cars. I also like my sporty steering wheel it is cool.
My sunroof hinges are slightly squeaky in summer months, design fault of this model. I did take it to the local main dealer, but instead of changing them they just greased them. I would have complained but my father took it whilst I was on holiday so I wouldn't miss the cut off date. So know I give them a light grease every year.

Having had the Clio since new, it has not had a problem and now with over 100k on the clock its still running well. It hasn't had regular services (which it should do). It performs well above its weight.
Gear change, parking and driver comfort. Ease of manoeuvrability around town and nippy too. Very good mpg motorway driving.
Needs to be stretched as rear passenger seating is awful. If they ever made one the same size as say a Focus it would be a car to be reckoned with.

This was my second car I owned, purchased second hand with 50k miles and I have to say I was very satisfied with it. It was suprisingly quite nippy for a little 1.2l and it held the road very well. Build quality wasnt the best as its a Renault but in 2 and a half years of having it, nothing broke or had gone wrong. Servicing the car myself was reasonably easy, especially when it came to changing brakes etc, was a doddle. I wouldnt say its a car to have many people in the back as there wasnt particularly lots of room and it also drained alot of the cars power so you would have to drive the car alot harder. To have so many extras in such a small car is definitely a bonus, such as the more sporty grill, spoiler, fog lights etc which made the car look very nice.
I think the feature that came in most handy was the automatic wipers and headlights. As sometimes rain or spray from other vechicles can come all of a sudden, so its a handy little gadget to have. Also to have the cd/radio controls behind the steering wheel is useful and safer to have instead of trying to fiddle around with the radio using the standard controls.
I think the thing I found most annoying was the ABS. I found that everytime I was braking and went over a tiny bump or speed bump, the ABS kept cutting in which was rather annoying.
Also I found that the engine sounds awful when started from cold, like there was no oil, however I had this checked and was told it was normal. Other than that, for a reasonably priced small car it was not too bad at all. Recommended for any first car.

Very good car, it is very similar to drive to the Vauxhall Corsa, and Toyota Yaris however it has that extra bit of speed and acceleration. It seems to be a smoother quieter drive to them cars also.
Overall very good car I would recommend one to anyone
My favourite feature is the Ipod connector, it goes in the glovebox, my Ipod goes in, I click random and it shuffles through my ipod whilst I drive.
Maybe improve the interior, it's not like it is bad but it could do with being less plastic looking and more modern / contemporary.

The 5 door Renault Clio dynamique S Turbo is lovely to look at both inside and out. Good urban drive. Feels more powerful than 1.2 engine. Smooth and easy to drive. The new Clio's 1.2 engine could easily be mistaken for the 1.4 it's replacing.
Renault have made lots of improvements from the previous series, including better fuel consumption, a better engine and lots more room inside the vechile, especially in the back.
It would be very hard to improve on this series of the clio, probably only by adding more gadgets as standard when you buy the car.

I've had Clios for the last 10 years and I think they are very reliable, also very cheap to fix when things go wrong, whichever car you buy somethings will always go wrong. They drive very smoothly compared to most small hatchbacks out there, very comfortable and a great looking car.
Headlights, the interior is very nice and spacious for a small car, nice sporty look without looking tacky, dashboard is easy on the eye and very simple.
They could improve on the electrical fittings, as this tends to be the thing that goes wrong most with my Cclios, never puts me off buying another one.
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
