The miles per gallon to this car is fantastic. Driving economically can get you 50mpg and more. Even though there's 3 doors, theres still plenty of room in the back and generous boot room for shopping, pets, luggage. Perfect for students, but wouldn't be ideal for large families.
Miles per gallon as said before, economical means cheaper fuel costs! Looks stylish, easy to handle too and comes in lots of colours.
It would be great to see the Clio come with better cup holders, there isn't anywhere to put my coke in when I get a maccy ds. Sounds silly but it is quite important!!

This was my first car and l have found it good value and easy to drive. It is very comfortable to drive and nimble. The CD player included has a good sound system. The boot is a good size, too, although the rear seats could be easier to fold down because you have to pop up the bases before dropping the backrests. Even then you're left with a load area that has a big step in it.
Power steering, economical on fuel, good price to buy/sell. Interior and exterior design is asthetically pleasing. Easy to change gear/adjust features.
My next car will be something bigger....hopefully a 5 door car. I am not sure what l would improve about the Clio as l think it is the perfect first car and very quick.

Reliable, nippy and cheap to run, this 3-door is perfect for the girl about town.
The handling is excellent and, as long as you don't overload it with shopping, the performance is equally good in town and country. It can even give the big boys a run for their money on the motorway...
Electric mirrors, power steering, alloy wheels and a split fold front seat - this car has enough features to elevate it's status from fun to funky.
Cruise control and rear parking sensors should come as standard, especially to aid paralell parking in town centres.

I've had my Renault Clio 3 door for about four years now, and now it almost feels like a member of the family or an old friend. This is mainly due to it's reliability. I say this because every time I go in it I know it won't let me down, it's reliability is it's strong point. I've rarely had to have any work done to it, and when I have it's been little to do with the actual design of the car, and more down to minor faults, and the because of the actual age of some of the parts in the car. Another plus point of the car is that this car has got lots of character about it. The performance of it might not be as good as some of the newer models but it's a loveable motor. If I ever do have a problem with it I never feel angry at the car, rather I feel like getting it fixed quick to get it back on the road. So overall if you're looking to buy your first car and are unsure which one to get, I would recommend a Renault Clio 3 door, and you won't regret it.
My favourite feature of the Renault Clio is mainly the reliability of the car as I said earlier. However, I also like the shape and size of the vehicle, because it looks quite sporty. And also the size means it's perfect for young drivers looking for a car as it's one of the cheapest cars to insure. Another good feature of the car is that there's quite a lot of room in the boot of the car, especially when you compare the size of the boot to the actual size of the whole motor. You can fit a lot of things in the back, so it's perfect for any long journey's and ect.
Although I've mentionned about the good points of the car. And about the reliability of the car, as it rarley lets me down. However, I still believe that there is some room for improvement. One of these potential improvements is to do with the comfort and size of the backseats, this isn't much of a problem for smaller people, but someone who has several friends over six foot tall, this can cause a problem when trying to fit them all in the back seat. Another slight problem of the Clio is that sometimes it also tends to leek in from my sunroof when it's been raining, although this is a rare occurance.

This is the perfect new car for me, since I bought it 6 months ago nothing except the battery has gone wrong, and even that had been in since the manufacturing of the car in 2001. All round it is a lovely little car, not much room in the back, so I wouldn't say a family car but perfect for the younger drivers.
The car is so cute! Perfect first car for a teenage/young girl, mine has a sunroof, and although it doesn't open far its really nice to have on a starry night or sunny day. The petrol also seems to last ages in it and I only really have to fill up every month about £15 and I seem to drive everywhere!
The only problem I have is that it doesn't have much pull and it is sometimes very hard to pull off on a hill. Also, it feels quite cramped in the back, and would be a lot more comfortable in the summer if it had air conditioning.

I've owned a Clio Dynamique S 86bhp for just over 2 years and I've covered about 35,000 miles.
The car has never let me down and overall, I'm happy with it.
Things I like: econony, handling, fun to drive, performance, looks (sporty, nice wheels), seats.
Things I don't like: heater (really feable), interior door handles (too close to the hinges - no leverage), seat belt warning bleeper (really annoying), 12,000 service interval (used to be 18,000).
Economy (never less than 60mpg), handling (superb roadholding and grip), performance (plenty of torque from the diesel engine), looks, wheels, seats.
Improve the heater. Move the interior door handle further back so that you can close the doors more easily. Reduce the volume of the warning beeper.

I have recently purchased my Clio and it is very good small car. I have downgraded from a much bigger car and I have not noticed any difference regarding this. The boot space is massive and can easily fit a month’s shopping in to it along with the rest of the stuff I have in there. It is also very economical on petrol and the trip computer tells me how many miles I have got left amongst over things. The car drives very smoothly and I enjoy driving it. In all it is a very nice car. It is not a boy racer car and slow at pickup but as I mostly do town driving it is perfect for me. I also travelled long distance (mainly) along the motorway and it was fine and had enough power for what I required.
I love the automatic headlights and the central locking. It is a good idead having the remote locking embedded in the key instead of having a seperate keyfob like I had on my previous car.
Air conditioning would be a very useful addition and a tilt and slide sun roof instead of the sunroof what was fitted. I also had a CD player installed but into today’s age it would be useful for a CD\MP3 player with a USB stick or/ and apple iPod control. (I have replaced the installed CD player with one of these already).

I have had many enjoyable moments when my Clio has proved reliable under any bad conditions. HOWEVER, it has way too many sensors, all running on very low power (according to RAC man on one of his many recent visits). If any of these sensors gets any dirt on it, it will mess up the entire engine management system...
Physically very well designed. It seems to be possible to fit virtually anything into this car, once you take the back seat out. 1.2 litre engine is obviously very economical but behaves like a much more powerful engine. Very comfortable, even on very long journies.
Obviously, the whole sensor system needs improving. The whole ability to drive relies on pathetic little sensors that were supposed to improve performance! Similarly, the headlight bulbs seem to blow VERY regularly and are very fiddly to change.

Purchased this car over 5 years ago brand new. Came as a limited edition - Extreme 3 which included a barcode theme to the interior, sports seats, sunroof and silver seat belts (which in the long run is a downside as they get badly stained if you catch the belt in the door with black grease!)
Anyway I love this car. It still appears very modern and not dated at all. The car runs well. I have never had any serious problems with it at all - CD player has played up on occasion but still works. Only ever needed to change the tyres and brake pads which is excellent.
Best features = Design, sound quality, sunroof - good benefit on a hot day - allows you to leave it open so that car is cooler when you return, comfy seats, electric windows.
Few improvements = Improved CD player - obviously aux ports and bluetooth would now be a great option. More power - car starting to lag and loose its power and accelleration. Improved security - alarm? Better demister? - pretty slow to warm up.

An excellent car with good build quality that has very few faults and all have been minor over the last 8 years. I am always impressed with is power and frequently fly away at the lights when others think I'm driving an older Clio!
I love the power and the steering wheel mounted radio controls, just the little things! Also love the generous boot space because of its big bum!
I think a couple of things let it down including left hand drive mounted wipers and poor windscreen washer jets but these are little things.
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
