4Dr Sal 2.2 D-4D 150 T4
Just got every basic thing that you need in a car! Good looks, good engine, good overall performance, comfortable, good economy!! What else do you expect from a car? The parts are available and are cheap. Thats good.
The six speed gearbox helps a lot in long journeys. All the required things like good air conditioning, light steering wheel etc are there.
The interior are bit boring, just normal ones and definitely need an upgrade. There's hardly any other thing that I would like to see in this car.

This car has common sense written all over it. Virtually unbreakable engine, up to 60 miles per gallon and £125 a year to tax. All this and no or little sacrifice to looks. It has a 4/4 safety review. Air bags and curtains surround you. The steering is very light and all round visibilty is good although the view is slghtly restricted when using the rear view mirror.
The Toyota Avensis basic model is exactly that but still has every day contempory needs such as electric windows, mirrors and air conditioning. A six speed gearbox is ideal for eating up the miles on long journeys.
A centre armrest is a personal preference and is missed. A storage box lid in the centre consol flips up and the slightest touch. Maybe a phone holder instead of a drinks holder would be more useful.

This is my first Toyota Car and I must say the Toyota Avensis is the best car I have had. Bought from new it has never ever given me any trouble at all, I have had no problems whatsoever with the car and I love it.
It is a beautiful drive, so smooth and quiet, it is so different driving this car than any other, next time I get a car I will do what I have never done before and get the same make again, as nothing will be as good as my Avensis.
It has everything I need in the car including Satellite Navigation, the only thing it doesnt have which I would like is a Sunroof.

This car is very well built as you can tell by the way that the doors close - securely but without effort. The interior is roomy (even in the back with a 6 foot 5 inch driver in front) and well appointed. Excellent driving feel with little roll on corners, it just eats the miles. WILL BUY ONE OF THESE AGAIN!
Retractable electric wing mirrors are very handy and I use them a lot on the narrow roads where I live. The driving position is excellent for the taller driver but equally comfortable for smaller folk too. I like the leather steering wheel on the T3x model (which I own)
Don't like the push to open coin compartment in the centre console. Get rid of rain sensitive wipers and bring back intermittent wiper selection switch. The rain sensor is very erratic and there is no option to select an intermittent wipe mode.

The Toyata Avensis is a big car and great especially if you have a family. For the last two years I have switched to this car and been very impressed with it. To buy this car you will need to dish out at the least over 2 grand at most car dealers but I think its a good buy.
The Avensis has been owned by me for two years and has been alright for me. Their is a mega problem though with the engine at times not starting up. Just last week with the cold weather hitting everyone my car did not even start up!
The engine has been like that all the time in the cold weather. I have even had the engine replaced but the same problem seems to continue all the time! The car also does have weak brakes to that do not react well on time.
Otherwise the car is fine very cheap for petrol and has huge amount of space in the car. In the boot you can put a huge amount of stuff there which I find to be great.
The car's speed is very fast even though the car may not look fast. I have no issues on the motorway catching up and getting to places on time thanks to the speed of this car. The clutch of the car is a treat works very well.
The gear box is smooth to control and very easy to change gears with. The steering wheel of the car is also very smooth making life on the road very easy for me.
I think the engine could have been improved, I have had two new engines put in. The same problem with the car as it does not start up in the cold weather. Also the heating in the car does not work very well. It takes around 20 minutes for the car to warm up sometimes even more than that!
The car could have also had a better design inside. I think the car is just too plain looking from the inside. Still a decent family car in my opinion to pick up!

Firstly I think that Toyota Avensis are good cars because there are reliable and there would not let you down in any occasion. Secondly I think that Toyota Avensis are excellent because the parts are available at a low price, parts can be brought from any parts shop.
The favourite feature of a Toyota Avensis are the grill because it makes the car stand out and look attractive.
The improvements in a Toyota Avensis are the interior of the car because it looks cheap and does not suit the car.

Avensis TSpirit is loaded with all the gadgets that you would need or want and the automatic version delivers a smooth crisp ride. It comes with auto-dimming interior mirrors, cruise control and streeting wheel controls for the entertainment centre which helps keep your focus on the road. Electric mirrors and windows provide convenience and so the automatic rain sensing windscreen wipers.
Best feature is the voice activated sat nav and entertainment centre. You can change the radio channels and CD with voice commands.
Automatic front lights, reverse parking guide as standard would be greatly welcome on a nearly fully loaded car.

THE AVENSIS IS ONE OF THE BEST CARS I HAVE DRIVEN BY FAR. I HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR A YEAR NOW AND IT HAS NEVER GIVEN ME ANY TROUBLE TO THIS DAY. ITS IS A VERY SMOOTH AND COMFORTABLE CAR TO DRIVE WITH A VERY EASY DRIVE. THE FEATURES OF THE CAR ARE SPECTACULAR. ONCE INSIDE THE CAR, YOU CAN HARDLY HEAR A THING ON THE OUTSIDE. SOMETIMES I FORGET IF THE CAR IS EVEN STARTED BECAUSE OF THE QUIETNESS OF THE CAR. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND ANYONE OF THINKING TO BUY THIS CAR TO GO FOR IT AS THEY WOULD BE VERY PLEASED WITH THE RESULT.
THE CAR FEATURES AIRBAGS, A CD SYSTEM WITH EXCELLENT SPEAKERS. I HAVE HAD PEOPLE SPENDING HUNDREDS OF POUNDS ON THE SPEAKERS BUT EVERY TIME THEY GET INTO MY CAR THEY ARE AMAZED WITH THE SOUND QUALITY. THE CLIMATE CONTROL IS ONE OF MY FAVS.
I HAVE NO IMPROVEMENTS FOR THIS CAR.

I switched to owning a Toyota Avensis earlier this year because it is a good car and cheap on insurance. The car was saving me around 400 pounds than my previous car on the insurance! The car also was priced well to buy so there is a lot of money to be saved just by getting this car.
The style of this car is not exactly very modern at all more of a family car if you ask me. I like the amount of big space you get in the boot of the car though. Its twice the size of normal car boots so very ideal for storing your stuff at the back that is something I like a lot about the car.
The cars features inside are near enough to being standard really. The steering wheel is a little difficult to control on bends I have always had this problem with the car on bendy roads. The car's petrol is about 10 pound a week for normal journeys so the petrol is cheap!
Having owned this car for more than 6 months another glorious advantage is the control of this car. There has been incidents were reckless drivers have made mistakes on the road where my brakes have stopped on time to save me from a accident. The brakes are very strong and really stand out for being excellent on the road.
I mentioned the brakes just now and can not mention them enough! They really are very stable and make you feel comfortable on the road. I have also drove in bad weather conditions including icy roads with this car, the brakes have done very well on those occasions on the road which has kept me happy.
The car's fog lights are also very strong I remember driving on a pitch black road with no lights in the fog. Thanks to the brilliant fog lights I was saved as the fog lights were so strong I could see well enough to drive on the pitch black road.
Well if I am being picky here it would have been to be the inside of the car. The seats are not nice at all I mean they look cheap and are not exactly comfortable to sit on either. I remember my nephew spilling drink on the seats and the stain would not come off!
The seats are not nice and the car is not standard smart enough from the inside. The cigarette lighter does not work half of the times either. Them are the only possible improvements I would have liked to happen to this car.

I recently bought this automatic 1.8 hatchback car.
Good points: Toyota produce most reliable family cars and this car is another proof power ful engine and very quick pickup. Good legroom and enormous boot space with foldable seats make it huge. Car has good display meter with good size button.
Down Sides: Not most beautiful interior, steering is not very adjustable as can do only rake. Head rest is not very carefully positioned.
- Powerful engine and smooth steering of car.
- Long service mileage.
- Good resale value.
- Strong built and reliable.
- Will recommened anyone for 2nd hand buy.
- Interior needs attention.
- Not very fuel efficient but average as you expect from another 1.8 automatic.
- Looks need to be contemporary.
