My Hilux is a double or crew cab, the 4 wheel drive works well and I haven't got it stuck anywhere yet! The interior is well thought out apart from the blank where the passenger drinks holder should be. It handles well and is fairly economical.
The 4 wheel drive is the best part as it is electric to put the locking wheel nuts in and out. The cab is also very spacious, I have had 3 child seats in the back with no problems!! It is good that there are two 12v sockets which are very handy and I constantly have them in use.
Less plastic! It is a shame to have the dash entirely plastic when most of the Hilux is well thought out.

The updated D/CAB 2.5 D-4D Hilux is a significant improvement on the previous, more cramped version. With room for five passengers it's more than just a pick-up and with the re-styled looks is fine for town or country.
The Hilux boasts air conditioning ABS and airbag as standard. I was impressed with the improved road-handling on the previous version which was decidedly under par. The roomy and stylish interior with lots of handy compartments is also a feature.
Despite the improved road handling the Hilux gives a rather harsh ride when unladen. At 101bhp the 4 cylinder engine is a little underpowered for a vehicle of this type. Petrol consumption could be improved.

I used to love riding around in my Toyota. It was always such a comfortable people carrier to drive. My kids loved it too. I have 5 children so it was fantastic when we had days out or went on holiday as there was plenty of leg room for the passengers & still plenty of boot space. I didnt even have to collapse my buggy to put it in the boot. I would totally recommend this.
Llarge amount of legroom & lots of boot space. Comfy seats - a briliant upright position enabling you to be able to see clearly.
Every time it went into the garage for repairs the bill was always around the £500 mark. Shame as this was the only reason that we had to part with it.
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
