The Rav4 has unbelievable punch and acceleration, which I will use only when needed, but I had an occasion the other day where I had to change lanes to avoid an obstacle in the road and I was almost shocked at the way the Rav4 accelerated. It is an extremely powerful machine that fits me very well. The Rav4 has favourable on-road manners, good ergonomics and a high level of quality. All in all, the Rav4 rides like a dream, is very comfortable, and it is very luxurious. I really do recommend purchasing one of these. You will not be disappointed.
I liked the new Rav4 the first time I saw it at a car show earlier this year. The things that sold me on the Rav4 were:
1. Toyota's reputation and the experience that friends have had with Toyotas.
2. The 5.7 liter engine. I like performance and the Rav4 is like having a sports car that looks like an SUV
3. The 6-speed transmission.
4. The EPA mileage estimate of 16 in the city and 20 on the highway. (I am a careful driver and I have always been able to get or beat the EPA sticker estimates on every vehicle that I have ever owned and so far, according to the computer, I am getting 16.3 miles per gallon in the city with the brand new Tundra.)
5. I liked the fact that my Rav4 doesn't have on-star and doesn't have satellite radio. nfortunately, GM and Ford practically force you to buy those features on their higher end trucks, whether you want them or not.
6. The Toyota double cab had a little more back seat room than my Silverado extended cab. However, the Toyota CrewMax just blew me away with the amount of rear seat space that it had, plus the reclining rear seat.
Here are the negatives on the vehicle so far:
1. On the SR5 models, the head lights are manual. I was used to the automatic head lights on my Silverado, but decided it was not worth the extra £4300 for a Rav4, which does have automatic head lights.
2. I wish it had a lever to pull to release the emergency brake.
3. I don't think it has the warning buzzer if you forget to turn off your turn signal.

This is the best car I have ever driven. 1st class comfort, easy controls. The lights are far-reaching and the automatic makes it easy for disabled drivers. Easy changing gears and wonderfully functional car. Although this is quite heavy on petrol, the sheer appearance and easy drive aspect of this vehicle mean this is pure quality.
Favourite features have to be, easy gearstick, clear dashboard features with excellent dashboard lights. Excellent panoramic visibility with great electronic, folding wing mirrors. Superb turning capabilities and can be turned in very tight spots.
Add a spare tyre as standard. Very inconvenient to have only a tin of spray for a puncture. Also more room in rear seats please as this is very noticable when sitting in the back and the front passengers comfort is compromised in order to give more leg room in the rear.

I am more than satisfied with this car. This vehicle is a great quality, robust, practical car with affordable running costs. I have not had any major problems with the car, and it's very comfortable to drive. The boot is of a good size too. Overall I would say it definitely lived up to expectations when bought and it's a vehicle I'm proud to own and very happy to drive.
Stylish exterior look, compared to slightly boxy looking rivals. You get a high driving position and has comfortable front seating.
Radio and speakers could be of a better quality. Also, would be nice to have illuminated window switches.

THEY ARE VERY ECONOMICAL THE 2LTR MODELS GIVING 42MPH, THE NEW RAV WHICH I HAVE JUST PURCHASED IN 2.2 LITRES ISN'T AS GOOD I NOW ONLY GET 30MPG SO IF I WAS WAS CHOOSING AGAIN I WOULD DEFINATELY GO BACK TO THE 2LTR MODELS.
THEY ARE SOLID VERY RELIABLE CARS, HAVING DRIVEN THESE NOW FOR 10 YRS I WOULD NEVER BE WITHOUT A TOYOTA, DRIVING PROBLEM FREE FOR YEARS, JUST GENERAL WARE AND TEAR REPLACEMENTS EVER NEEDED, DUAL CLIMATE CONTROL IS GREAT. THE HEATED SEATS FANTASTIC, AND THE OVERALL DESIGN IS SOMEWHAT A CHUNKY EYE CATCHER.
2.2 LTR IS ADVERISED WHEN BUYING NEW THAT IT DOES 48MPG NO WAY THIS IS VERY MIS-LEADING AND TOYOTA WITH A COOL RAV LIKE THIS SHOULD REVIEW THERE MPG ON THEM. REAR HEATED SEATS WOULD BE GREAT TO ADD TO THIS ALREADY FAB 4X4
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
