I bought this car 6 months ago to replace my old suzuki wagon 2001 and paid £1700. A lot of people tried to put me off buying one of these but it is a nice car to own if you are quite elderly. It is easy getting in and out of as the seats are high up and this gives you a terrific driving view and plenty of room even for the taller people.
Lots of room front and back and the rear seats fold right down so its like having a van to move stuff. Very good on petrol over 50 miles to the gallon, trays under both front seats so you can store stuff away.
This car could do with a few more refinements such as electric windows, central locking which you would expect nowadays on all cars and a bit more power from the 1 litre engine.

My mother passed this car down to me, I was so dissapointed I wanted a corsa vxr, but never got it. I have put hours into modeling the car, now has a vxr bodykit and role cage, 1.8 corsa vxr enginne twin turbo, I think I have spent around 100 hours on the car and well over £9000 well worth it when I see the face of the porsche boxter drivers face when I beat them at the lights. My car also won maxpowers 2010 sound system award.
High seat possition, the feel of the car to drive, people say it is very plasticy inside but I sprayed mine with cans of spray paint now looks the buisness.
Would recomend a role cage as standard as I have been stuck in traffic jams due to Agilas getting roled round corners, also iI woke up one morning to find my Agila had been tipped over on the road parked outside my house. I say they are just jealous. I would also say a spoiler as standard this will make it much better hitting top speed. The bigger the better!!!!!

I have had my Vauxhall Agila for a year now and what a little beauty. Years ago I would not of dreamed driving one of these but I wouldnt part with it now so good on petrol loads of room and they are quite comfortable even though people say they are not, fold down the back seats and you'd swear you have got a van - there is not much difference, well worth the money.
Miles per gallon, turning circle, room and plenty of it, very cheap insurance and tax. Back seats can split in half so you can still carry large objects and a passenger.
Armrests on the front seats, better heating for front windscreen. I would like this 1 litre made into a 4 cylider engine instead of three to give it a bit more power. I would like to see three seatbelts for the back seat on all models.

Purchased this new 9 years ago mainly for the boot size - the rear seats fold down singly or together to form extra space. This car has been a workhorse, have had no major work on it, still in pristine condition with no fading (a pearly red) and looks as if it will carry on for a good while yet.
High seating - fine getting in and out. Economical re fuel. Good all round vision and can carry 5 people.
Better suspension - can feel every lump & bump in the road (but I'm OK with this). Could hold the road better at speed (but I am not into anything fast).

Great little car, the 1 litre engine does lack a bit of grunt though, probably the heavier body. Very good on petrol and I've had no mechanical trouble so far. Has the folding rear seats similar to the Zafira so it can be turned into a mini van should the need arise to carry something large. I have a full family of kids and have enough room for them and a boot full of junk too.
Folding rear seats, High head room, small footprint so easy to park. Massive Boot door, Extra shelves and storage dotted round the front. Very cheap to run and insure.
Why oh why does this car not come with either a parcel shelf or Cigarette Lighter??? I know its a cheap car but come on, £5 for a bit of flimsy mdf and a quid for a ciggy lighter just too much to ask for? The socket for the lighter is there so sat navs are ok but only a fake lighter is inserted into it.

The Agila is unique. It is so simple to operate and while it will never beat anyone in a race, it will beat anyone's insurance, tax, or fuel consumption. The Agila is simply the car you need on a small budget. Because of it being seen as an 'older persons' car, it is also fun to drive and people double look at you as a young person.
It it very spacious and lot's of head room. And because it is a high raised car, you can also see the road a lot clearer.
Perhaps an easy to install CD player. The built in radio is not easy to take out or replace. Perhaps different tyres as the replacment ones are very expensive.

This nippy little car may not be the most attractive, nor the most exciting, but it is economical to own and drive. Insurance group 2 and well over 40 mpg. It's got a reasonably sharp turning circle and all round visibility, so is a doddle to park.
With the rear seats down, it's almost as spacious as a small van, with four feet of almost flat floor space. It's also slightly taller than most cars, giving an elevated driving position, and slightly less chance of losing it in a crowded car park.
Nuisance factor is the close proximity of the throttle pedal to the wheel arch. If you think you've found a dead spot, your foot is probably too far to the right. I've had the car over three years and I still find myself doing it. Side air bags would be an extra safety feature.

This car is very deceptive it looks like a small car but it is very big on the inside. It is only a 1300 cc engine but with the 16 valve it is great at picking up on speed and for fast manouvering. With twin airbags on passenger and drivers side it has safety in mind also with the cd player and all round car speakers it is all the luxury you need from a small family car.
All round speaker system is a feature that really sets the Agila apart from other small family cars. Also with the added leg room not expected in small family cars with the high headroom it all accounts for a very smooth comfortable drive.
Cental locking would make a vast improvement to this cars apealability. Also the Agila indicates that you dont have your seatbelt on by a flashing light it would be better if it was a noise emmited reminder. Plus the aerial for the radio is too long to go under a standard garage door it would be better with a bee sting aerial instead.

Well what can I say about this good car. I would say that since I've bought my Vauxhall Agila, I have not had any problems with it so far. This car is very reliable and very compact. I have driven many miles with this car and it has failed to disappoint in the 5 or 6 years I have had it. It is the best car I have ever had in my lifetime.
I would say that the best features of this fantastic Vauxhall Agila would be as follows. The air conditioning is very good. The stereo system that is built in fails to disappoint.
I would say that there should be little improvements that has to be made to this already good and reliable car. Maybe if they update it in the future I would say make this car more stylish in looks. More spacious aswell and thats about it.

I have a Vauxhall Agila, it's is a lovely little red car, it has a lot of head room and is easy for my elderly parents to get in and out of the car as it is high to sit in and being high you have great visibility driving and being able to see all round. It is very economic. The only problem I have had with it is that I have had to have a new timing chain fitted. I would have probably been better with the Suzuki Wagon R.
My favourite features about this car is easy to get in and out. Doesn't use much fuel. Easy to park. Good all round visibility. Cheap insurance.
My suggestions for improvement on this car is central locking as I find it difficult reaching across to unlock the passengers side door. A centre seatbelt strap at the back.
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
