On the whole the Zafira is not a bad layout, the cockpit area is pretty comfortable, the contols are ok, unlike some models however you have to have your ignition on to put your windows up - I know on some Vauxhalls you can do this by the key fob. The steering is responsive, once you have 7 people up there is no bootspace. The 1.6 engine is not very good and would recommend a higher cc engine.
Brilliant for putting rear seats up and down, plenty of room as a five seater, comfortable seating and controls for radio/cd are excellent.
More room once the rear 2 seats are up, you couldnt fit in a cucumber let alone luggage or anything when doing a long journey. The 1.6 engine needs looking at its pretty gutless.

We have had the Vauxhall Zafira for the best part of three years now and we bought it initially out of neccessity as our family grew and we needed a seven-seater.
After saying all of that it's been an excellent family vehicle, it's really easy to remove or fold up the rear seats, there's plenty of space to accomodate seven people. It's a quality car for the price, the only let-down being the size of the boot when the two extra seats are up. However, when they are collapsed the boot is extremely spacious!
I think the best features have to be the ability to carry seven people in relative comfort, and the vehicle's performance not suffering dramatically when doing so.
I think the drinks holders could be significantly improved, meaning that they could be a lot larger and deeper, providing a sturdier hold for the recepticals. There could also be integrated heaters for the two extra rear seats.

I have the 07 Vauxhall Zafira and I am very pleased with it. The drive is comfy, you never feel any bumps, the engine is very quiet and doesnt drink much petrol. There are 7 seats, 2 of which are in the boot but can be folded to make a larger boot space, not that you will need it. The car also comes with a mat so you can cover the folded down seats... The Zafira also boasts a very good CD/Radio system. This version also has electric windows in the front.
My favourite features of the zafira are, the CD Player, the electric windows, the foldable seats in the back, the ride comfort, the alloys. Also, the very limited Air conditioning system.
Some improvements to the Zafira would be, built in Sat Nav, Alloys accross the whole range, more legroom, a sun roof and a better air conditioning system

The Vauxhall Zafira is one of my favourite cars because of...
1) It is quite fast.
2) It's got good features on it.
3) It's quite strong and cheap to repair if anything happens to it.
4) It's a family car, it can carry up to 7 people at ones.
5) It is a very spacious.
6) It is quite cheap to buy compared to other like it.
7) It is also a very respectable car.
8) It's very comfortable.
It's best features is the space, cheapness, compactness. I also like it because it quite fun to drive and very road friendly.
I think the car makers should put some extra entertainment so kids can enjoy it even more.
They should also thnk of giving the tyres less grip to the road so you can enjoy your driving even more.

I REALLY ENJOY DRIVING THE ZAFIRA FOR MANY REASONS. IT IS EXTREMELY SPACIOUS INSIDE AND HAS SEVEN SEATS! IT DRIVES SMOOTHLY AND IS EXCELLENT IN TERMS OF IT'S PETROL CONSUMPTION. THE TWO BACK SEATS FOLD FLAT AND THE THREE CENTRE SEATS FOLD DOWN. THIS IS BRILLIANT IF YOU NEED LOTS OF ROOM. THE PEOPLE CARRIER SITS HIGHER THAN ORDINARY SALOON CARS MAKING YOU FEEL SAFER ON THE ROAD. OVERALL A BRILLIANT CAR!!!
MY FAVOURITE FEATURES ARE THE COLLAPSIBLE SEATS. THIS IS A GREAT IDEA PARTICULARLY IF YOU HAVE A DOG! I ALSO BENEFIT GREATLY FROM THE SEVEN SEATS, THIS IS GREAT FOR TAKING MY LARGE FAMILY OUT AND ALSO FOR A NIGHT OUT WITH THE GIRLS!
I THINK THAT THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR COULD BE SLIGHTLY MORE HARDWEARING. OUR CAR HAS A LIGHT COLOURED INTERIOR, DARK COLOURS COULD BE BETTER.

I bought this car second hand a number of years ago from a dealership. The reason I chose the Zafira was due to the fact I have a growing family and needed an MPV, that was spacious and reliable. I had heard and read many reviews about Vauxhall saying how they were the most reliable etc. etc. however, I can say this has not been my experience. For the first few years the car was reliable but since then I've had no end of problems. At the moment for example, the central locking no longer works and also the car constantly keeps cutting out, ALL the time, I've been to a garage to see how much repairs will cost and it works out more than the car is worth so I don't see any point. Another thing I've just remembered that I almost forgot due to the fact I haven't had use of it for such a long time is the car radio, no reception on any frequencies at all. In future I will not be buying another Vauxhall.
Space is a massive feature within the car, especially boot space for going camping etc, big shops. Another favourite is the option on seven seats, especially when my children's friends are round for dinner etc. The car has an excellent air conditioning system that is fantastic in the summer.
One of the main improvements I would suggest would be a decent radio system, the cd player/speakers are fantastic however, the radio is terrible, like I mentioned previously the frequencies are all un-tunable. It's terrible, having something to listen to would at least distract me from all the other features that have broken down!

The Vauxhall Zafira is a great family car, the kids can fit in the back with plenty of room. There is also alot of room in the boot. We go on alot of journeys out and the ride is excellent. Our Zafira has everything as standard, it comes with electric windows, central locking and sunroof. It is very comfy and it is very reliable. I've had this one on black now for 2 years and have never had to replace any parts. I have the 2 Litre petrol version and we get on average 35 MPG.
- Adjustable seats in the back for the kids
- Massive boot
- Lots of room for the kids
- Reliable
- Good Miles Per Galon
The interior comes accross as a bit pound shop-ish.
I would change the interior to match the price of the car.

The Zafira was the first 7 seater with flexible seating, and I am on my 4th one. Apart from the infintely variable inside space, the Zafira is easy to get in and out of and also to put babies, children and luggage in and out.
The car looks like a slow poke but it has a nifty turn of speed away from the lights and a sports setting that gives an appreciably different drive.
It s one of the warmest cars I have ever been in - you need the air con on in winter at times!
The full 7 seats up still allows room for a pushchair and some luggage in the boot - with only the front two seats in the back moving a freezer is easy.
Flexible seating - at a good height for disabled passengers - and for nappy changing!
Easy access- it is easy to reach all the seats with the wide opening doors...
Hidden storage all over the place.
Bring back the other cup holder in the front as there is currently only room for one drink.
Make the quarter lights in the 'back back' (fold up seats 6 + 7) openable as it can get stuffy back there.

My car is so versatile, I can do so many things with it. I have had it for 4 years now. I live with my husband and no little children living at home now.
I am a Registered Childminder and have 2 dogs.
We tow a large 2 berth van. I am a Grandparent to 4 small children. I use it for my business and transport 4 or 5 children to school, nursery and trips out. So I flip out the two back seats to transport children with both car seats and booster seats. It is so easy to use. I have 2 car seats which are Isofix and I can also fit a booster seat in between to seat 3 children on the centre seats.
When it is just my husband and I it is not too big for us both and its so easy to remove car seats, stow away the extra seats in the back and use it for storage when we go out with friends. We put a large dog crate in the back to transport them.
Our car is great for towing the caravan, dogs in the back, storage on the middle seats and a fantstic car for towing. Its so economical being deisel too. Lastly it is great for all the family when we go out on day trips. Dogs and Grandchildren alike.
I love the way the 2 back seats are so easy to lift out to use, either one at a time or both together. Then when we have finished with them pop them both down into storage again.
I cannot think of any major improvement to my car. We chose carefully to encorporate all the things we need it for. I don't think there is a better car on the market which covers all the things we need it for.

Excellent all round 7 seater family utility vehicle for everyday family life. While equipped for journeys and also for carrying large items when the rear seats can go fully down without having to remove the seats from the vehicle like other 7 seater models. The 1.8 engine is slightly under powered and can't imagine how the 1.6 engine would cope with 7 people and fully loaded. Mechanically have had no problems with the car on a '54 plate and 62,000 miles on the clock. Would recommend the 7 seater option for anyone with a large family or needing extra boot space. Comfortable to drive even for someone with long legs needing the extra leg room.
Having a higher seat position gives all occupants (front and second row seats) a better viewing position. Along with the increased front side windows a much better view of the outside is gained by all inside the vehicle. The driving experience is increased visually by a clear rear view through the headrests of the rear two rows.
The car could have been equipped with climate control instead of the basic air conditioning for better inside temperature control during the summer months. Also a higher performance engine is needed for a large car that has the potential to be fully loaded to quite a weight.
There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
