The Chevrolet Lacetti is a compact car made by the South Korean automaker GM Daewoo since 2002. Despite strong competition from rivals such as the Kia Rio and Renault Megane Hatch, the Lacetti became the new car in Top Gear's "Star in a Reasonably-Priced Car” in 2006, boosting its credibility and popularity.
The new Chevrolet Lacetti is available as a hatchback or station wagon. The Lacetti hatchback offers the comfort and spaciousness of a family car with the practicality of a hatchback. It’s roomy, has loads of clever storage ideas and is relatively cheap to run. The Lacetti station wagon combines sportiness, comfort, and versatility with the added benefit of more space. Its generous head and legroom and big load capacity make even the longest journeys a breeze.
Engine options include 1.4 and 1.6 petrol engines on the hatchback and 1.6 and 1.8 petrol engines on the station wagon. The 1.6 engine has a combined fuel consumption of 39.7 mpg and CO2 emissions of 170 g/km. The 1.8 engine has a top speed of 121 mph and a combined fuel consumption of 32.1 mpg. The choice of 5-speed manual transmission or 4-speed automatic transmission is available on both model variants.
Trim levels include the SE and SX. The SE trim includes remote central locking with immobiliser, radio/CD player, electric front windows and power steering. The SX trim includes deluxe upholstery, air conditioning, 15" alloy wheels and electric front and rear windows.
