The Chevrolet Spark is an all-new city car first unveiled by GM motors at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. It went on sale in Europe in the first quarter of 2010 but isn’t expected to be available in the US until 2012. Its main rivals include the Hyundai i10, Nissan Micra and Renault Clio.
The new 5 door Spark combines classic Chevrolet bold exterior styling, a well-equipped 5-seat interior, smart features and an affordable price. High-quality craftsmanship and clever design details make it one of the safest, comfortable and practical cars in its class. It’s also one of the most space-efficient cars in the mini segment making it perfect for socialising in the city or as a second car for the whole family.
Engine options include 1.0L and 1.2L petrol engines with 5-speed manual transmission. Both engines have a combined fuel consumption of 55.4 mpg and CO2 emissions of 119 g/km. The 1.2L engine boasts a top speed of 102 mph.
Trim levels include the Spark, Spark + and Spark LS. The Spark + trim includes ABS anti-lock brakes, power steering, CD-Radio with Aux input, MP3 & USB connectivity and air conditioning. The Spark LS trim includes front fog lamps, body colour rear roof spoiler, remote central locking and 14” wheels.
