The Citroen C3 Picasso is a mini-MPV version of the popular Citroen C3. First launched in April 2009, the C3 Picasso was designed to compete with rivals such as the Renault Grand Modus, Kia Soul and Vauxhall Agila. In August 2009, Citroën released a 90th Birthday Limited Edition of the C3 Picasso.
The new Citroën C3 Picasso is one of the most compact MPVs on the market and is deceptively spacious on the inside. Passengers have plenty of legroom and all of the C3 Picasso’s seats are fully adjustable so you can quickly and easily fold them all flat to create the largest boot space available in its class. The C3 Picasso is also packed with plenty of safety features including up to six airbags, ABS and optional Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), making it one of the safest cars in its class.
There is a choice of four engines to choose from including two petrol and two diesels. Both of the petrol engines are part of Citroën’s new generation, developed in partnership with BMW. The 1.6 16valve VTi version, has super-low emissions but a thrilling 120hp. Citroen’s two 1.6HDi diesel engines are already renowned for low emissions. The DPFS (Diesel Particulate Filter System) ‘Airdream’ gives an amazing 110hp, 57.6mpg on a combined cycle and emissions as low as 130g/km.
The C3 Picasso is available in three trim levels, VT, VTR+ and Exclusive. All cars come with a five speed manual gear box. Prices start from £11,795 on the road.
