The Ford C Max was launched in October 2003 and after an initial slow start, the sales have picked up considerably. The C Max is neatly styled, well built with a quality interior that makes it feel like a premium car. The Ford C Max shares its driving capabilities with the Ford Focus, using the same chassis, the suspension is firm and attacks all types of roads with ease. There is lots of space in the front and enough space for three adults in the back. All three rear seats can be lifted out to free up luggage space. Ford offers the 1.6-litre petrol engine, the 1.8-litre and the 2.0-litre petrol engines. Diesel engines are available in the1.6-litre TDCi (90 PS), 1.6-litre TDCi (109 PS) and 1.8-litre TDCi (115 PS). The 2.0-litre TDCi (110 PS) and 2.0-litre TDCi (136 PS) both diesels are available in automatic and the 2.0-litre TDCi (136 PS) also comes with six-speed manual.
Trim levels start at the base model Studio which features removable rear seats, the sporty Style with air conditioning and front centre armrest, the luxurious Zetec with the quickclear windscreen and leather steering wheel and the exclusive top of the range Titanium.
