The Ford Focus Saloon is a small family first launched in 1998. Despite strong competition from rivals such as the Kia Rio, Renault Megane Hatch and the Mazda 3, the Ford Focus Saloon is extremely popular with consumers and critics alike and has won over 60 awards including 13 Car of the Year awards since its launch.
The latest Ford Focus Saloon exemplifies Ford’s Kinetic Design principles. It’s stylish, swept-back headlights and imposing grille give the vehicle an athletic front-on stance. To the side, its graceful lines sweep down towards the rear, leading the eye to the dynamically styled back bumper. Inside, Ford’s Kinetic Design is carried through to the interior, where comfort and style combine to create a luxurious feel in the cabin. The stylish centre console has a soothing amber glow for night-time driving and is complemented by eye-catching aluminum trim and soft-touch fabrics.
The Focus Saloon comes with a wide range of engine options to choose from, all with excellent fuel economy, performance and low CO2 emissions. The petrol range starts with the 1.6-litre Duratec engine and extends up to the 305 PS 2.5-litre turbocharged Duratec engine in the Focus RS. If you prefer diesel, there are a range of smooth, refined diesel engines to choose from, such as the 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi 90 PS, through to the 2.0-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel with 136 PS. Manual transmissions are available in five-speed or six-speed. There’s also four-speed automatic transmission available on the 1.6-litre and 2-litre petrol engines, and a six-speed PowerShift automatic transmission on the 2.0-litre diesel engines.
Trim levels include the Style, Zetec and Zetec S trim. The Style trim includes, 16" Design wheels, electrically-operated and heated door mirrors with side turn indicators, CFC-free air conditioning and a sporty instrument cluster design. The Zetec S trim includes 17" alloy wheels, full body kit, aluminium foot pedals and Ford Power Start button.
