The Honda CR-Z is a sports hybrid coupe first launched in 2010. The Honda CR-Z is Honda’s third electric car in the market, following the success of the Civic Hybrid and the Honda Insight.
The Honda CR-Z Coupe is distinctively sporty thanks to its low bonnet line, wide stance and split level rear glass hatch. The shape of the CR-Z has also been specifically designed for greater economy and cleanliness with its shallow raked roofline and sharply truncated tail cutting through the air with minimal disturbance.
The new Honda CR-Z is packed with the latest Honda technology including the unique 3-Mode Drive system. By switching to SPORT, ECON or NORM modes, the CR-Z automatically alters the responses of the throttle, steering, idle stop time and climate control to offer a better driving performance.
The Honda CR-Z is the first vehicle in the world to combine a driver-focussed 6-speed manual gearbox with a low emission, parallel hybrid system. The 1.5 litre, 4 cylinder i-VTEC engine works inconjunction with the electric motor to provide a total power output of 124PS and 174Nm of torque. The Honda CR-Z boasts CO2 emissions of 117 g/km and fuel economy of 56.4mpg.
The Honda CR-Z is available in three trim levels including the S, Sport and GT. The entry-level S trim includes 16’’ alloy wheels, climate controlled air conditioning and auxiliary input for MP3. The Sport trim includes rear parking sensors, cruise control, privacy glass, USB port for MP3 player and leather multi-point function steering wheel. The top-of-the-range GT trim includes leather upholstery, panoramic glass roof, heated front seats, front fog lights and hands free telephone.
