The Infiniti FX is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV produced by the Nissan-owned Infiniti brand since 2003. The Infiniti FX was released at the same time as its competitors, the Porsche Cayenne and Volvo XC90. The FX is now in its second generation and the redesigned 2009 model was officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2008.
The FX’s compelling design embodies the charisma of a sports car with the assertive poise of an SUV. The latest model offers Infiniti’s unique Scratch Shield paint which displays up to five times fewer scratches than conventional paint and inside, the FX’s interior offers a combination of comfort, style and a wealth of practical features including a premium Bose six in-dash CD changer system, Infiniti's Smart Key design and interior welcoming lighting.
Under the bonnet, the FX boasts an array of innovative systems to give you road-holding reassurance including Adaptive Continuous Damping Control and Rear Active Steer. There is a choice of two engines to choose from including the free-revving 320 horsepower FX37 V6 engine or the awe-inspiring 390 horsepower FX50S V8 engine. The 7-speed automatic transmission shifts through the gears swiftly and smoothly while the Adaptive Shift Control recognises your style of driving and the particular condition of the road you’re driving on.
Model options include the FX37 GT, FX37S and the FX50S. The FX37S trim comes with front sports seats including power lateral thigh (driver only), red “S” grade exterior badge and suspension with active Continuous Damping Control (CDC). The top-of-the-range FX50S trim comes with Full Speed Range Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), 21” 6 spoke light alloy wheels, Music Box supported by Gracenote® music database and High resolution touch screen central display with Infiniti Controller.
