The Kia Magentis 4-door saloon has been marketed since 2002, and the larger second generation model was launched in 2006, sharing a platform with the Kia Carens. It features a spacious cabin, useful storage compartments and decent boot space.
Engine options are the 5-speed 2.0-litre CVVT petrol or 6-speed 2.0-litre VGT diesel engine. 4-speed automatic transmission with manual mode is available in some models. A 2.7 litre 185BHP V6 engine with automatic 5-speed transmission is also available. Two trim levels are available, the GS or LS. Both trims are rich with standard features, such as CD audio with MP3, air-conditioning, ABS with EBD, alloy wheels and key-fob remote boot release. The LS adds ESP, BAS with electronic traction control, climate control and automatic lights. Cruise control is available for diesel models.
