First launched in 1999, the 7-seat Sedona became the top-selling MPV in some countries, mainly due to its low price. The redesigned shorter model of 2006, features Hyundai’s LAMBDA engine and includes twin rear sliding doors and the 2 rows of rear passenger seats which are fully removable to create extra space, keeping it up to date with its competitors.
The Sedona is available with a 2.9-ltire 185hp CRDi diesel engine, with 5-speed manual or 5-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission. A manual transmission 2.7-litre V6 petrol model is also available with entry-level GS trim.
Trim levels available are the GS, LS, and TS. Kia’s usual impressive standard feature list includes CD audio with MP3, tri-zone air conditioning, electric windows, reversing sensors, one-touch folding seats, 6 airbags and ABS braking with EBD. Higher spec trims feature electric sliding doors, alloy wheels, cruise control, climate control to name but a few.
