The GS model is the medium sized saloon in the Lexus range. It was first launched in 1991 and based on a Toyota model. The third generation models use a new chassis design and was released in 2005. The GS can be fitted with advanced features like the Pre-Crash System, which in the event of an unavoidable collision acts to harden suspension and apply braking assist for maximum stopping power. Another innovative feature is the Adaptive Cruise Control, which uses radar technology to maintain a set distance if there is a car in front and to resume normal cruising speed when the road is clear. The Lexus GS's main rivals are the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Audi A6, but the GS450h sets itself apart with hybrid drive technology which reduces emissions and means that the Lexus can roll into central London almost completely congestion charge free.
There are three engine choices available, the GS300 is fitted with a 3.0 litre Dual VVT-i V6 engine with 245 BHP. The GS430 features a 4.3 litre V8 engine that has around 280 BHP. The GS450h model features a 3.5 litre direct injection V6 engine and a high output electric motor, this combination produces an output of over 340 BHP, rivalling that of a V8, but with the economy of a 2.0 litre. The GS300 and GS430 models are fitted with a six-speed Semi-automatic transmission, while the 430h is fitted with a semi-automatic CVT system.
Trim levels start with the well specced base level model featuring climate control, cruise control, electrically adjustable seats and much more. The next trim level is the SE-I and top of the range is the luxurious SE-L model which features leather upholstery, memory seats and the multimedia and navigation package.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
