Mercedes-Benz is a German manufacturer of luxury automobiles first founded in 1881. It is currently a division of the parent company, Daimler AG after previously being owned by Daimler-Benz.
The first Mercedes-Benz brand name vehicles were produced in 1926, following the merger of Karl Benz's and Gottlieb Daimler's companies into the Daimler-Benz company. Since then, Mercedes-Benz has introduced many technological and safety innovations that have become common in other vehicles years later.
Since its inception, Mercedes-Benz had maintained a reputation for its quality and durability. In 2008, Mercedes-Benz's quality rating improved by yet another mark, now in fourth place. On top of this accolade, it also received the Platinum Plant Quality Award for its Mercedes’ Sindelfingen, Germany assembly plant.
Mercedes-Benz has a number of passenger cars in their current line-up: The A-Class is a luxury small car that has been in production since 1997. The B-Class is a compact MPV first introduced in March 2005. The C-Class range boasts a saloon, sports coupe and estate variants. The CL-Class and CLC-Class both offer sport coupe models. The CLS-Class is a saloon with classic coupé good looks. The sporty and executive E-Class offers saloon, coupe and estate models. The GL Class and M Class are luxury mid-size SUV’s. The R-Class was the first full-sized multi-purpose vehicle produced by Mercedes-Benz in 2006. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is one of the world's best-selling luxury flagship saloons. Finally the SL-Class SLK-Class, SLR-Class and SLS-Class all offer sporty roadsters.
As well as producing passenger vehicles, Mercedes-Benz has also produced a limited-production sports car with McLaren Cars, an extension of the collaboration by which Mercedes engines are used by the Team McLaren-Mercedes Formula One racing team, which is part owned by Mercedes. The 2003 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren has a carbon fibre body with a 5.4 litre V8 supercharged engine.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
