The Mercedes-Benz A Class 3-door is a luxury small car first introduced in 1997. The all-new second generation model was launched in 2004 and has proven itself as a strong contender in the ‘supermini’ market.
The new generation A-Class features an array of subtle design touches that lift the car to another level of dynamism and style. The tail light cluster has been redesigned and the headlamps reshaped, giving the car a broader appearance. Mercedes have also created a new-look front apron with a more angular, sporty-looking air intake and have reworked the radiator grille.
Inside, the new A-Class, all occupants enjoy ergonomic, highly supportive seating, with a wide range of standard adjustment for driver and front passenger seats. Fitted as standard on all A-Class models, the multi-function steering wheel enhances comfort, convenience and safety. Thumb controls, ergonomically integrated into the wheel, enable you to perform a range of tasks – from changing radio station or turning up the volume to making a phone call.
Petrol models include the superb A 160 and A 180, which both offer ample torque and good fuel economy. Mercedes have also introduced ultra-green BlueEFFICIENCY versions, incorporating a range of fuel-saving measures. The diesel option is the A 160 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY with a 3-door Fuel Economy Variant which achieves an impressive 116 g/km CO2 and 64.2mpg on a combined cycle.
Trim levels include the Classic SE, Elegance SE and Avantgarde SE. The Classic SE is all about simplicity and understated style. The Elegance SE comes with eye-catching 16" 10-twin-spoke alloy wheels, radiator grille louvres in atlas grey, chrome trim strips and a chrome-trimmed oval tailpipe. The Avantgarde SE boasts 16" alloy wheels in a distinctive 5-spoke design, plus a dynamic-looking chrome-trimmed front apron.
