The Mercedes-Benz A Class 5-door was first introduced in 1997 alongside the 3-door model. The all-new second generation model launched in 2004 and the new version features an array of subtle design touches that lift the car to another level of dynamism and style.
The new A-Class 5-door boasts convenience and practicality. Despite its compact exterior appearance, the car’s interior is surprisingly roomy with ergonomic design throughout. Every button and control is within easy reach and the raised driving position ensures good visibility. Passengers also enjoy raised seating with outstanding shoulder and legroom.
In addition, the new A-Class boasts a maximum boot capacity of 535 litres behind the rear seat and 1,370 litres behind the driver’s seat – plenty of space for shopping or luggage. Stowing or retrieving your belongings couldn’t be easier, thanks to the tailgate’s smart design with extra wide opening.
Under the hood, petrol models include the superb A 160 and A 180, which both offer ample torque and good fuel economy. Mercedes have also introduced ultra-green BlueEFFICIENCY versions, incorporating a range of fuel-saving measures. The diesel option is the A 160 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY with a 3-door Fuel Economy Variant which achieves an impressive 116 g/km CO2 and 64.2mpg on a combined cycle.
Trim levels include the Classic SE, Elegance SE and Avantgarde SE. The Classic SE is all about simplicity and understated style. The Elegance SE comes with eye-catching 16" 10-twin-spoke alloy wheels, radiator grille louvres in atlas grey, chrome trim strips and a chrome-trimmed oval tailpipe. The top-of-the-range Avantgarde SE boasts 16" alloy wheels in a distinctive 5-spoke design, plus a dynamic-looking chrome-trimmed front apron.

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
