First introduced in the mid-1950’s, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is one of the world's best-selling luxury flagship saloons. As the foremost model in the Mercedes-Benz lineup, the S-Class has debuted many of the company's latest innovations, including drivetrain technologies, interior features and latest safety systems. The latest generation of the S-Class premiered in 2006 as an all-new design and has proved immensely popular despite strong competition from rivals such as the Volvo S80, Saab 9-5 Saloon and Audi A6 Saloon.
With its long, lean profile and impressive proportions, the new Mercedes S-Class has an imposing presence on the road. Distinctive styling touches include the shield-shaped radiator grille and restyled front bumper with LED daytime running lights. To the side, new-look exterior mirrors have integrated LED indicators and at the rear, bold LED tail lights and a rear bumper with integrated tailpipes add to the S-Class stylish design.
Inside the new S-Class offers an outstanding driving environment thanks to its innovative interior architecture. The front and rear seats have been designed with ergonomics as a priority and the uncluttered dashboard display is clear and instinctive to use.
Engine options include the highly economical BlueEFFICIENCY diesel option in the S 350 CDI (L). Incorporating many of the innovative energy-saving features that characterise Mercedes BlueEFFICIENCY vehicles, the S 350 CDI does 37.2 mpg combined and emits just 199 g/km of CO2. The S-Class engine line-up also features V6, V8 and V12 petrol units, each putting substantial power and torque at your disposal. Choose from the S 350 (L), S 500 L and S 600 L or – for the ultimate in performance – the S 63 AMG L and S 65 AMG L.
