The Mercedes-Benz SLK is a compact roadster manufactured since 1997. As one of the first modern retractable hardtop convertibles, the SLK followed the 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT Spyder and preceded other retractable hardtops such as the Peugeot 206CC, Lexus SC and the Chrysler Sebring. The SLK was substantially revised in 2004 with a revised body and enhanced performance.
The SLK Roadster’s F1-inspired lines and broad, muscular stance really make it stand out from the crowd. Subtle adjustments to the car’s nose and front bumper, plus new arrow-shaped indicator lamps integrated into the side mirror, perfectly demonstrate Mercedes attention to detail. The latest model also boasts striking new alloy wheels, racing-style tailpipes, stylish dark-tinted tail lights and chrome-rimmed fog lamps.
Inside, the latest SLK-Class interior features an array of stylish new touches including a redesigned instrument cluster with chrome-edged dials and red needles and a new 3-spoke sports steering wheel. The vario-roof means the SLK-Class moves effortlessly from coupé to roadster and back again. Thanks to the intelligently designed folding mechanism, when the roof is lowered the SLK is still able to boast 185 litres of luggage space and with the roof up, this increases to an impressive 277 litres.
Under the bonnet, the SLK-Class offers a range of four different engines, each offering an exquisite blend of power and performance. The SLK 300 V6 unit produces greater torque and a hefty 231 hp. The SLK 55 AMG features a handcrafted, naturally aspirated V8 engine that delivers a staggering 360 hp and an incredible rated torque of 510 Nm. This makes it the most powerful engine in its segment, enabling the SLK 55 AMG to sprint from a standstill to 60mph in just 4.9 seconds.
On the road prices for the new SLK Roadster start from £29,445

There are many practical reasons to leasing a car rather than buying one. Car leasing offers lower monthly payments, lower initial deposit, road tax and breakdown recovery. You also have the opportunity to drive a new car every two or three years and all vehicles include the standard manufacturer’s warranty.
Our leasing deals are powered by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
