This Japanese car manufacturers heritage can be traced back to 1917 when they produced Japan's first series-production vehicle. Mitsubishi grew and grew and by the 1970's were ready to take on  greater markets and they opened their UK distribution centre in 1974. They have won the World Rally Championship several times as well as having continued success in the Dakar Rally event with their Shogun 4x4 vehicles.

Mitsubishi also make a large MPV model in the form of the seven-seat Grandis.
